I love how u added annabeth! I love her too. In fact I like her more than Percy!

Lord of the Rings set the stage for all these books. J.R.R. Tolkien is the father of fantasy.Lord of the Rings is my favorite though. And Harry Potter is second.
I haven't read the rest so I don't know if I'd like them.
Well, I didn't read some of the other books, but I think I'm going to have to go with Harry Potter, Oo

All I can say is the artemis fowl is my favorite series. The hunger games, Alex rider, and Percy Jackson are good series too.
Luke wrote: "All I can say is the artemis fowl is my favorite series. The hunger games, Alex rider, and Percy Jackson are good series too."What about Harry Potter?? You have to like that...
Out of all those books you've listed I've read the entire Harry Potter series and two Artemis Fowl books. Sincerely, between the two I've read...I really can't pick. Anyways, I can't make a final decision because I haven't read the entire Artemis Fowl series. So that question is one that can't be answered.
That's hard. Harry Potter, His Dark Material and The Hunger Games are my favorite series of all time. I can't really choose between them..
It's real hard to compare these books....like someone said above, it's like comparing apples to oranges. I mean, how can you compare Lord of the Rings(written for older readers) to Artemis Fowl(middle school level)?? I haven't read LOTR yet, but it's definitely on my list.Anyways, if I had to rate my top 2:
Harry Potter -It's was quite an adventure reading this series and watching the movies
Hunger Games -awsomeee!
I haven't read Alex Rider, I don't plan on reading His Dark Material, Narnia was quite good along with the Twilight series.
Why do you make this so HARD!not fair. but here we go.
1.Harry Potter
2.Artemis Fowl
3. Alex Rider
4. Percy Jackson
5.Narnia
6.Twilight
7. Lord of the Rings
I haven't read Hunger Games or His Dark Materials
LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!!!!!!! As much as I liked harry potter Lord of the Ringds is more of my style and just saying I really Dislike Hunger Games.
Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Alex Rider (I can't choose among these five. I personally love them all.)His Dark Materials, Narnia, LOTR (I love them, but not as much as those five above.)
see I think LOTR and Narnia are original because two friends (J.R.R. and C.S. Lewis) wrote two of the iconic novels during their lifetime and those were not copied just inspired. I think rest are just copies of each other (in particular Harry Potter and Percy Jackson) so I think I select LOTR and Narnia
His Dark Materials and Artemis Fowl for me. Hands down, no competition. Percy Jackson and LOTR immediately after.
Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight, Percy JacksonHarry Potter is like old school, its a classic, can't beat it
Btw does anyone know if there are going to be anymore Percy Jackson movies after the lightning thief?
With Paradise Lost, John Milton tried to create an English epic that could stand beside great world literature, like The Iliad or The Odyssey. Tolkien actually accomplished what Milton set out to do. The Lord of the Rings didn't just launch a genre. It legitimized the value of books for at least two generations of people (so far), and gave English-speaking people their own epic.
Harry Potter is the best! Not just because it's the one I'm most obsessed with, but I liked the writing style all the action and there wasn't like a love triangle! I hate those. I do LIKE romance but not love triangles. Also I like all the different things like werewolf's and vampire's and wizard's and stuff. Sure there are those things in A LOT of other books but I just think that J.K Rowling used them all and made it so that it wasn't confusing. Like a lot of other books do. They explain it but not in much detail and it starts to get confusing. So I would say HANDS DOWN HARRY POTTER!!!
the hunger games is the best!!!!!

the hunger games is the best!!!!!

I would say Lord of the Rings, but then, I just started the Fellowship.Percy Jackson was awful.
I really liked Harry Potter for several years, but as I've gotten older (and it's only been like 1-2 years!), I've liked it less and less.
I like Narnia.
Haven't read the rest, and don't want to.

Are you serious?
The battle of Pelenor fields only is about 30 pages long, have you even read it?

In 100 years these books will be the classics not saying those others aren't good cause I read a few and liked them but these ones interest me more

That place is held by J.R.R. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings.

You haven't read The Hunger Games Shame on you and those do beat Harry Potter.
I haven't read Lord of The Rings so I can't justifiably say. But the from the other ones, I'll have to say nothing else stands a chance compared to Harry Potter. It's hard to compare anything with something that comes so close t being the ultimate writing for people in our times.
