compared to LotU?

How does this series compare to Lords of the Underworld in terms of:
gripping plot?
steamy love scenes?
slow/fast paced writing?
funny?
heart warming/breaking?

any opinions?

It has a similar feel but I definitely preferred the LotU series.

*sigh* I kinda gave up on LotU ... I didn't like the writing style quite as much as other PNR series. Is the writing style the same in these?

Gena Showalter is Gena Showalter, if you know what I mean. The books are fun and sexy and that's what they are. No more. No less. For good writing and a good story, I recommend Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. I love those book.

Ecstasy in darkness is from the Alien Huntress Series. For me, alien huntress is better. But lotu is also good i just enjoyed AH more. But i definitely agree with Jes. Fever series is awesome. You can also try Kate Daniels series. Those 2 are my favorites ever.
