Frederick - I just read this short but interesting book. It re-sparked my longstanding interest in Melville in general and Moby Dick in specific. I think in the very near future, as cross species communications become more seriously investigated and environmental issues become more acute, Moby Dick will be even more relevant and popular a classic with the general reading public!
