Rebecca Burke | 2 comments Happy New Year! Another freebie to announce, my YA book The Ahimsa Club--available at no cost on Amazon Dec. 29-30. I hope some reviews will come of it but mostly want people to read it! Despite its subject matter, it's a fun, fast read with lots of humor. And--the Beatles! (Paul, anyway.)

The Ahimsa Club
ISBN: 978-1-4658-1251-3

What can a 14-year-old girl do to protect animals? Valerie forms the Ahimsa Club, whose Pledge to Veg and Save the Strays campaigns stir conflict.

Kristen (kristentaber) | 6 comments Hi, all! Sorry I've been absent for so long. Work's been insane and on top of that, I've been trying to launch my new book (plus, I'm an idiot and forgot my author account isn't linked to my personal account; couldn't figure out why I couldn't post for the longest time---see, this is what lack of sleep will do for you!)

I did want to let you know about my book, though, since it's YA (epic fantasy). I'm quite proud of it and have been getting rave reviews so far :). Check it out of you can:

The blurb for you:
Red-eyed creatures have brutally murdered seventeen-year-old Meaghan's parents. After nearly sharing their fate, she escapes with her best friend, Nick, who confesses the creatures, known as Mardróch, came from another world. And so did she.

Afraid to face her parents' killers again, Meaghan follows Nick into the kingdom of Ærenden. Their journey leads them across war-torn lands and through hazardous wilderness. Vines have the ability to attack. Monkeys freeze their victims with a gaze. Men create bombs from thin air. Even Meaghan's gift of empathy proves to be a dangerous power she cannot control.

But control becomes the least of her problems when the Mardróch begin targeting her. As she and Nick race for the safety of his village, she discovers he knows the reason they want her. And his secret may cost Meaghan her life.

Let me know what you think :)

Maria Bradley (mariakb) | 2 comments I hope it's okay to say hi. First of all, I'm not a teen, and don't even qualify for the astoundingly attractive title of "young adult". I write for teens though, and have three boundlessly energetic teens of my own. Do I qualify for this group? I love to read teen/young adult books, both, to improve my own writing, and also because I love 'em. Nice to meet you all:-)

T.Lynn Odom (tlynn_odom) | 5 comments My first YA paranormal went live on Amazon tonight. Never Pick on a Jaguar Princes by T. Lynn Odom

Strange freckles, swiftly growing fingernails, frightening dreams that come true…fifteen year-old Juli Perry has bigger problems than the four girls who’ve set out to make her life miserable. She’s just learned she’s a shapeshifter—and not any old shapeshifter. She’s a jaguar princess. What that means, she isn’t sure. But even before Juli knows what she is, she and the Track Pack discover that picking on her can be dangerous…possibly even deadly.

T.Lynn Odom (tlynn_odom) | 5 comments I'm raising funds for Lone Star Boxer Rescue by donating a portion of sales of Never Pick On a Jaguar Princess to them. This group is all volunteer and they rescue and find homes for these loving dogs. See my website www.terithackston.com for details. Thanks and God bless!

Just to let everyone know I'm deleting every post that hasn't been touched from 2013 and older. Its too cluttered and I'm going insane looking at this.

Also, if any thread is not in the proper folder it will be moved or deleted.

Hahaha Bluemoon I did a similar thing last year! The lack of organization and old posts drove me batty too!. Have at it!

Patrick Lee (mootfowl2) | 2 comments Greetings YA authors and readers!
I’ve recently released the first book of my series, “Rising”, a YA apocalyptic fantasy. I would be so grateful if some of the members of this group read it and…REVIEW it! Spread the word of its existence in that vast ocean of books out there if you like it. It’s really fast-paced and exciting. In exchange for an honest review, I would be willing—thrilled—to gift you a copy.
Happy summer reading!

message 48: by Kristen (new)

Patrick Lee (mootfowl2) | 2 comments I wanted to send you a pm, so as not to clutter up this thread, but I don't see that capability at your profile, Kristen. Anyway...thank you:) BTW, the book is better than the lovely cover (which fortunately I didn't design, lol).
