Paulsen, G. (2009). Mudshark. New York, NY. Scholastic.Mudshark is a mystery/chapter book. Mudshark is good at solving mysteries. There are things that are going on in the school such as missing erasers and smells coming from the faculty restroom. There is a mysterious parrot that notices everything in the school. The gerbil is also running loose in the school.
For students that like to read mysteries, this is an interesting one. I enjoy reading mysteries, so therefore, I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Encyclopedia Brown except Encyclopedia Brown gives clues, where Mudshark did not give the reader the clues.
