A prognostication like this does not make me especially happy, but it has merit when compared to the musical formats that have declined so dramatically. I think printed books will be around for a very long time, but big shiny physical bookstores, maybe not.

Ann (annrumsey) | 14300 comments Agreed, Barry - we won't give them up that easily. The advantage books have over LP's, cassettes, eight tracks and CD's - we already have the "hardware" to make them function and don't need a separate player to make them work!
