I've bought a volume of each. They're really nice ... lots of good pulp scholarship to complement the original art.

I notice on the website they have a free offer for only shipping $3.50 of a book. Definitely worth taking them up on it...

Hotspur (hotspurot) | 5 comments I bought the first two Doc Savage books. Since I've read them before, I'll only comment on the presentation. The format is large, like a graphic novel. The paper is pulpy with old fashioned graphics intact and old cover art.

In sum, published in a format close to the original... not bad at all!

Tim Byrd (timbyrd) | 48 comments I have fully up-to-date sets of both, and will be subscribing to the Avenger reprints that are about to begin. I also get Girasol Collectables' Spider doubles (the tenth of which arrived yesterday).

I not only want complete sets, I want the publishers to succeed so they're able to republish all the stories, so I'm voting with my dollars to help them do that.

For the same reason, I encourage everyone to grab as many of these as you can. Buying a copy or two is all well and good, but these publishers aren't big publishing companies and need all the support they can get.

I've also plugged the Nostalgia Ventures series on the acknowledgments page of my Doc Wilde book, and through my contacts at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution got the Doc Savage books a full half-page of coverage in the Saturday, January 27, 2007 paper. Just doing what I can. ;)
