I thought your task was going to be trickier than I thought. I found 3 books that I already have that fit as long as the entire 2011 buzzword list works. They are:The Emperor's Tomb by Berry, Steve Emperor 5/28/2011
The Gift 7/31/2011 by Patterson, James Witch and Wizard (Wizard)
Reckless Abandon by Woods, Stuart reckless 3/19/2011
Devil's advocate is on the list. Can we use one of the two words, or do they both need to be used?

All Buzzwords up until 11/30/11 will work for this, since by then the challenge will be over! :P
Those 3 will work!

You can use just one of the words, so Devil's (Devil, Devils) or Advocate (Advocates, Advocate's).

Would Open and Shut work for this?"
That works just fine!
ohhh thanks Angie - I can use Lee which is part of the Devils on Horseback series for Devil's Advocate then right?

Found Halloween for 10-31-10 Will Agatha Christie's Hallowe'en Party be ok because of the apostrophe?
Robin wrote: "Found Halloween for 10-31-10 Will Agatha Christie's Hallowe'en Party be ok because of the apostrophe?"Hm, that's an odd one. I'll go ahead and allow it.

But this will work for Halcyon (buzzword on 5 Sept 2011) =)
For other titles here is my GR search for titles with Halcyon in them

Hi Angie, I am wondering if I can use The Red Umbrella ('umbrella' - 8 Jul 2011). Just checking because of the 'young reader restriction' that's in place... Some pages of the book are available for viewing here

Re: young reader- The Red Umbrella is fine- no restriction

Question: When I was searching for a book, back when this task was first posted, I chose The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook to go with the word "genius" from 10/3/2010. I was just checking over some things today and saw that someone has changed the title on Goodreads from "The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal" (which would have worked) to just "The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook". I'm reading the audiobook, but the cover image is this one:
. Any chance that I can still use this book or do I have to find another place for it?
I'm not sure about this one. I would think it's okay, since "genius" is in the subtitle on the version you read. Maybe a mod can help out with this?

I think it's fine. It shows on the book cover and I see that a number of the other editions show the whole subtitle on GR. Since this task is wide open about the location of the word in the title, subtitle, etc., I think you're fine, especially if the title has been changed since you began the book.
Please remind me of this when you post the task!

Dictionary Day is on October 16, which is also my birthday, so for this task you'll be expanding your vocabulary! Visit Daily Buzzword*, choose any word which has been featured as a Daily Buzzword, and read a book with that word in the title, subtitle, or series name. Plurals and possessives work, but no other variations. Multi-word phrases may be broken into their component words excluding articles (the, a..) and conjunctions (and, or...)
*This list contains one year of data and a new word is added each day. The archive as of 9/1/11 can be found via Word Central Archive Googledoc. Words can be used from the list dated from 9/1/10-11/30/11.
Required: Include the date of the Daily Buzzword and the word you chose when you post.
