Meghan I've decided instead of doing a 50 book challenge again for next year, my goal is to read from cover-to-cover The Norton Anthology English Literature 8th edition, Volume 2. It spans works from the Romantic Period (1785-1830) to the 20th Century and after. I took a Brit Lit class 2 years ago and I'm continually amazed at how often these works get mentioned in other books. I've been kind of wanting to read more (obviously we didn't read the whole anthology for my class), so this is just as good a time as any.

Sarah (songgirl7) That'll be fun, since I'm thinking of taking the Brit Lit B class next semester, and that's our text. So we could discuss some of the works. :)

Brianah (mrsbrianah) I just loved this book! It was so interesting to me with the mixture of history/stories surrounding the Worlds Fair (of which I didn't know much before reading this book) and the way his mind worked! I love reading crime novels and find the psychology behind it just fascinating. Hope you enjoyed this book as well!

Meghan Brianah - check out my group "Books I Want To Talk About". I started a folder for this book. Would love your input!

bjneary | 121 comments I loved Beah's book and then I went to see him speak and he was so honest, true, and spoke about staying peaceful, no wars and being the best person you can be--no matter how difficult! He was very so sincere I wanted to take home and talk to him forever.

Sera Meghan, I have had the Beah book on my "to read" list since the fall. I saw his story on 60 minutes, and I was so filled with hope that I had to get it.

I can't wait to read this one.
