Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Wendy, I was going through my book folders and found these books. I forgot I was going to read them.

Should I bump the first one up on my list? Is it worth the read?

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I really really liked the first one. It was one of my first Kindle purchases and it sat for a long time because it sounded good but the picture was a bit... eh. I was so surprised. It's a good one if you liked Necromancer.

The second was good, but not quite what the first one was.

Definitely bump it up.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 302 comments I loved the first one!! It kind of reminded me of Meg Cabot's mediator books--though I think it Kade's was better done.

Lot's of fun!

Gwennie (blessedwannab) It was so surprising, wasn't it! It's one of those sneaky good books like Necromancer and Anna and the French Kiss.

This is a really fun, fluffy series with some hidden depth and powerful emotion. Neither book turned out to be what I thought it would, but I feel like that's part of the story itself: to not judge people by their appearances. Sure, Alona is very much a queen bee and Will is kind of gothy in a sense, but neither of them prescribes completely to the label they've been given. Also, let's share some cover love :). This one has me contemplating all kinds of directions the story can go.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I can't wait for the next book, for sure. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed in book two because (view spoiler)

You know what's funny is that I actually like that aspect. (view spoiler) Either way, I can't wait for book three :D.

message 9: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Don't get me wrong, I loved that Alona (view spoiler). So I just liked it a little less then the first one.

Well, I admit that was a bit strange, but I'm really eager to see where Kade takes the story. (view spoiler)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm so worried about that too! (view spoiler)
