The setting of this story is the twenty-seventh Air Force Headquarters in Italy. The story is following a Captain named Yossarian who is relatively crazy, and was the lead bombadier but got demoted because he didn't care if the bombs hit the target. He was replaced by Harvermeyer who never misses a bombing, but flies straight and endangers his flight. The primary conflict is that the characters in the book are in world war 2. I have noticed that all the characters have their own personality disorder.
