I kept my cool. I just covered my face with my "Knuffle Bunny," which I'd been reading aloud and made freaky faces to myself and then put the book down and smiled and said, "Shelby, sit on your bottom. Rene, hands out of the Star Wars bucket, Curtis, hands to yourself. Back row boys, look at the book!" and then ignored them when they all went back to their bad behaviors minutes later. It was a close call, though.

Really, I just feel like every bone and muscle in my body is tightening into a coil.

Jackie "the Librarian" I'm grouchy and grudgy today. And my ears kinda hurt.

Lori Yeppers. Jake had to stay home from school today. Cold/sore throat. He usually develops these ailment on Monday, isn't that something! But this time he wasn't faking it. He was sick yesterday too. Now he's a clever kid, and might be realizing that he better get sick on Sunday this time to avoid the usual Monday routine fake call, but no, Mom can tell.
