Shadavia Bryant If you went through or still struggled in a harsh difficult problem would you want to change your race and culture?

Ken As the struggles happening, maybe. But afterward, with all the wisdom I gained? Not a snowballs chance in hell.

I would have to second that. I didn't have it as hard as Pecola, but in school, I was usually the only black person in my classes and it took a while for me to accept that I was great just the way I was. It was very heartbreaking to read the book because I could relate to feeling inferior because I my skin color, but just like you said about the wisdom you gained it was worth it!
