Megan I just noticed we have over 2000 members in this group!!

That's a lot of nice folks who like/love Ms. Austen!

Robin (goodreadscomtriviagoddessl) Wow, that many. Of course everyone does love Jane.

Anna (SylviaGrant) | 162 comments I think there are many, many people who dislike her but are scared to create a group. Wow!

Sandi (finfansand) | 54 comments Not bad for a lady who wrote just six completed novels! Life in those novels is inherently more fair than that in the real world; the ridiculous end up looking like fools, idiots marry idiots, and good is always rewarded. So what's not to love?

message 5: by Anna (new)

Anna (SylviaGrant) | 162 comments I almost wish that Ms. Austen was alive again and writing more books in place of another author.

Sophie | 1458 comments That's really cool! Well, in my class of 22 I am the only one who likes Jane Austen, as we studied it and not many were interested!!! maybe there were 2 or 3 more who found it ok
And didn't mind it but not many :)

I wonder if a dislike group would be started by a Bronte fan ;) xx

message 9: by Sophie (new)

Sophie | 1458 comments I know Alice!!
There are all clearly very unromantic :) they probably went into reading it not wanting to like it as we had to read it for the course. That could be partly why!
But my passion really makes up for all the rest of the class put together :)
