Stacy Adrian | 20 comments Junior is a student that a counselor at first look may term a "good canditate for a vocational track." If Junior was interested in earning a 4 year degree, what are some opportunities that he would have to express that to you?

Theresa (ttemplin) | 27 comments A career interest survey would be a great way to find out what he is interested in. I also think that every student should have an opportunity to have a careers class of some sort. We have a ninth grade and an eleventh grade career classes at our school.

Hollie Adair | 26 comments I think that is great idea Theresa! Hopefully the student (Junior or otherwise) would have some way to do some career exploration, whether it is in a class, via classroom guidance sessions with the counselor, SEOP (or some variation) planning time, as counselors assist student select their schedules, or as counselors can place students in outside programs such as ASPIRE, Gear Up, TRiO, etc.
