District Two

District 2 is one of the districts of Panem. It is the place where most of the Peacekeepers are trained and where the weapons are manufactured. Publicly it's presented as the nation's stone quarries, just like District 13 was known for graphite mining. District 2 children are raised with a warrior mind-set.

Claire was wandering around. She was chosen as mentor this year, and she needed to know her strategies.

At the reaping, a woman with a funny looking appearance briskly walked onto the stage. "Welcome to the reaping of the *number* Hunger Games! For the female tribute..." She shuffled around in the glass ball, and pulled a slip of paper. "*female name*! And for the male..." She said, shuffling in the other ball... "*male name*! Please, come up to the stage." She said, and the two tributes walk to the stage followed by one peacekeeper each. "May the odds be ever in your favor! Now, you will be escorted to the train station to say your good-byes."

((It's kinda quick, but oh well. XD))

Claire smiled at her trainee. "Good luck!"

Rosemary tried to smile on stage. Later burst into tears and ran to her family. Her sisters hugged her and she stopped crying, she needed to be strong. She hopped on the train the next morning, she spent the whole ride just starring out the window.

Malik smiled when his name was called. This is what he'd been waiting for. He'd been training his whole life. Now it was his time. He got on the train and thought out his plan to win.
