This is a new track that just started last year. Defined as the place where ordnance (weapons, ammunition, and tools of war) is stored.

10 AM - ZIP – Edged and Man-Powered Weapons
Kevin Dockery goes into the details of edged weapons, including the geometry, manufacture, and evolution of cutting weapons. Additionally, man-powered projectile weapons such as the bow, spear, and others will be presented – with examples shown from the Armory displays.

2:30 PM - USE OF FORCE - Shane Simek shares his knowledge and experience as a Deputy Sheriff, discussing the concept of when to escalate from Hands On, to Less Than Lethal, to Lethal Force (and sometimes back again). Or, "Never Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight."

4PM - NFA WEAPONS - Yes, you can own the kinds of weapons shown in The Armory. Lamar Cheatham, a dealer in Federal National Firearms Act (NFA) hardware and other firearms for over 30 years explains the laws, how they are applied, and the kind of hoops you have to jump through in order to own your personal machinegun. State and Local laws vary.

10 AM - RESEARCHING HARDWARE
How to find trustworthy information on the subject of firearms and weapons for use in writing and other productions will be presented by Kevin Dockery, a noted authority on the subject. Presented will be recommended reference works and sources. In addition, how to obtain illustrations and photographs from reputable sources will be presented. The pitfalls of the internet will be pointed out as well as the value of museums, manufacturers, and both commercial and military trade shows/displays.

The subject of high and low explosives will be covered, to include modern and older materials. Explosive charges will be shown and there developments and applications described.

A noted military historian and knowledgeable weapons specialist, Kevin Dockery will present firearms with examples from the Armory display. All eras of firearms will be presented with details on the evolution, functioning, and application of them to include hunting, target shooting, law enforcement, and military use.
