Hey all, hope your independence day weekend is going well (for those of us in the States)! Our story this week is The Man With the Roller.

Very similar in plot to "The Mezzotint" but still competently written. I have to admit I am a sucker for ancient settings! The presence of photography makes me wonder when this was supposed to have taken place, obviously during a time when owning a camera was still not common.

Still, I like ghost stories involving churches, monasteries, and the like. I would enjoy finding more in that vein.

I really liked this one. It was pretty creepy. I started thinking of The Ring, and so I was getting kind of freaked out. I will have to find more stories by this author.

PS I agree that it reminds me of The Mezzotint.
