Mandy (mandypants) Please feel free to post your own questions, answers, and comments.

Questions about the first half of the book

1. What do you think about Brockmann writing another WWII story in this book? Does Eve’s narrative move the plot along?

2. Meg does some pretty awful things and is prepared to do even worse. Is Meg responsible for her behavior if she’s acting under duress? Why? Or, why not?

3. Alyssa left the military to work for the FBI because there weren’t any opportunities for advancement based on her gender. Do you think changing careers because of gender concerns is a common issue in male-dominated fields? Does Alyssa hide her femininity in the process?

4. What do you think about Brockmann humanizing the terrorist the Bear?

5. In the last book, Kelly and Tom hadn’t seen each other in a long time when the story picks up. Here, Meg and Nilsson have a brief flirtation and then they don’t see each other for years. Is the intensity of their relationship believable?
