I hate mushers

I was so excited that my farmer's market now has a guy with steamed crabs (and he's even steaming them right there! so fresh!) but when I got them home 4 out of 6 were inedible mushers. I'm not exactly sure of the science behind a musher. I've heard it's a crab that wasn't alive when it got cooked but I sort of think it's just an overcooked crab. Either way it doesn't taste good and when you put it in your mouth your brain says "spit it out!" so you do. I ate pizza instead, which was good, but not crabs. Now I shall drink.
