Victoria Patterson | 1 comments Could it be the atmosphere? Unpretentious--REAL. What is it about Riverside?

It must be something focused and unique, because I'm from Corona, just 15-25 minutes away, and it certainly does NOT have the same feel that Riverside has (not implying that there is a bad feeling there; I've lived in Corona forever and it is lovely). Something about being on campus at UCR just feels intellectually stimulating. I love it here!

Lauren | 2 comments you know, I completely agree. Not Riverside though, but UCR's campus has a very welcoming and warm feeling to it. So far, my encounters with Riverside have been not so pleasant or kind. I'm hoping things will change now that I've started at the university. I certainly have a little more kick in my step lately. It must be it. :)

Hey nobody is ever posting! I wonder why? We're supposed to be creative and such . . .

Sabrina | 1 comments The campus is certainly inspiring for writing. We've got plenty of nice big trees to write under, and plenty of people to steal conversations from. I don't feel any particular fondness for the city of Riverside, though. I commute from Redlands (or as we call it, Deadlands) so I'm used to a quieter, smaller atmosphere.

Nice comment. The trees here at UCR are great, very atmospherical (if that wasn't a word, it is now). I'm often up in Redlands as well, even though I'm currently living on campus at UCR, and it is nicely quiet, just as my hometown of Corona used to be.
