Blaise (blaiseh) This is a question for all writers:

Something I've always wondered, do you design your own cover(s) or do you use a service? I'm no where near needing it but you see so many great covers (Like EE) and you wonder how they come about? I'll be the first to admit Pretty Cover = Blaise is buying it.

I'm fortunate enough to have a husband who is a photographer and also a PhotoShop guru. He was the one who designed EE and he's working on Fallen Eden's right now. I totally agree that I'll very likely buy a book because the cover catches my eye (or at least I'll read a few pages and decide from there).

If my husband didn't have such mad skills, I'd hire a professional to do my covers because I think it's that important, but there are plenty of indies out there that do their own and are successful. I think a killer cover just gives you an edge over the competition, especially in the YA genre.
