Hey Brenda, thanks for my great picks:-) I'm definitely going to read

...If I can, I'm also going to buy
:-)
DG,Thank you so much for making this a fun challenge. I know it takes a lot of your time. It is evidently something you have spent unknown hours to decide as the theme and then to willingly follow us throughout this month. So, for those of us that just click a few buttons and enjoy your efforts: THANK YOU!
Julie
KatieSorry about the delay. I tried to do this last night, but for some reason the Goodreads site is blocked on the library's computers. ?!?. The librarian could access it from her terminal, so I know GR wasn't down. But the public access computers just wouldn't load the page. Frustration! Anyway, here's your picks.
READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star)
I didn't give a 5-Star rating to anything in your TBR, but both of these earned 4 Stars from me.
Fallen Star, Morgan Hawke
Desire Unchained, Larissa Ione
2. Moon (satellite)
It looks like you enjoyed the first 3 in this series, so go ahead and read the fourth.
Closer, Ally Blue
Second option, Lora Leigh's Breeds is worth catching up on.
Styx's Storm, Lora Leigh
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender)
Wow, this was a tough category for me. None of my favorite male author's made an appearance on your TBR. So I'm going to give you two options again. The first, from your TBR, looked like an interesting start to a series. The second rec is a little different from what you normally read, but I'm just going to throw it out there. It's the first book in one of my favorite fantasy series.
The Cross of Sins, Geoffrey Knight
Furies of Calderon, Jim Butcher
4. Mercury (smallest planet)
A Modern Wicked Fairy Tale: Rapunzel (erotic erotica short), Selena Kitt
Second Nature, Anne Cain
5. Jupiter (outer planet)
You might enjoy Anne Bishop's dark fantasy series, one of my favorites. The first book in the Black Jewels trilogy is about a civilization on the verge of self-destruction because of the greedy grab for power by a few of its members and Witch, the prophesied saviour, who is about to be awakened.
Daughter of the Blood, Anne Bishop
6. Venus (hottest planet)
I think the following might fit nicely with the other books on your shelves.
Their One and Only, Trista Ann Michaels
You liked Morgan's Victorious Star and some books by Tymber Dalton, so you seem to be open to the edgier BDSM elements. You might like Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands series.
Club Shadowlands, Cherise Sinclair
7. Saturn (rings)
When I'm in the mood for a good historical romance, Julie Garwood is usually my go to author and this is one of my favorites.
Honor's Splendour, Julie Garwood
OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid:
These are sitting in my TBR stack and I'm determined to get to them both soon. If either interests you, just let me know.
Animal Attraction, Charlene Teglia
Ravenous, Sharon Ashwood
9. Comet:
The truth comes out, I had a secret agenda for choosing Styx's Storm, category 2, out of a few possibilities. I saw Primal on your TBR and I've been wanting to read it for a while. I've already decided this is the month, so just let me know if you want to do a buddy read.
Primal, Lora Leigh et al
I'm also interested in the following.
Marked, Elisabeth Naughton

Sure, I was just about to start another book so this is perfect timing! I should be able to read quite a bit today - I'm trying to take it easy so I can kick this cold. But we are having company tomorrow and the house is a disaster! Luckily, I have this book in both audio and ebook, so whatever I end up doing I can still be reading! =)
Valerie, I finished one of our buddy reads! The Pregnancy Test - My Review is here if you're interested. ;)
Off to read one of my July picks!
Daffodil wrote: "KatieSorry about the delay. I tried to do this last night, but for some reason the Goodreads site is blocked on the library's computers. ?!?. The librarian could access it from her terminal, ..."
thanks so much for the picks, daffodil! i think i'm going to go with The Cross of Sins. i've wanted to read this one for a long time :) thanks!
JoyceThanks for the picks!
I've got a trilogy challenge that Ghost Shadow will fit in perfectly, so I'm definitely up for a buddy read, let me know when's a good time.
Unfortunately, I've already read Touched by an Alien. It's wonderful and I highly recommend you go ahead and read it.
I'm on the waiting list at the library for The Dark and Hollow Places but it looks like I may get it this month. ::Crossing my fingers.::

Hello Nakia !! Uhh. thank you for the recs. There are books very very interesting that were added to my forever growing TBR. :). I will post here which books i will be reading for this month. Although i know i will be reading some of those later ;).
Great job! xxx
A,
Hey, D.G. ~Vile Temptress~. Sorry I'm cutting it down to the wire. Had kind of a health "thing" that has my concentration out the window. Here are your picks! Happy reading!READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star) – Book from their TBR you gave 5 stars or if you haven't read any, one with a high rating.
* Flat-Out Sexy. Serious hot NASCAR drivers! Great series.
2. Moon (satellite) – Book from their TBR that’s the next in a series they already started or from an author they already liked and enjoyed.
* A Breath of Snow and Ashes. You gave all the previous books high ratings. Time to continue on with the series!
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Book written by a male author or with a strong male character
*Personal Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant. This book meets both - about a strong man, written by that same man. I am a political history junkie, so this caught my eye.
4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Short book from their TBR
* A Perfect Match. At just 216 pages, it is one of the shortest on your shelf.
5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Book that’s a bit ‘out there’ either because it has an original premise, a funky title or because it’s something they wouldn’t normally read
* How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf. The title is great, and so is the author. Harper is really funny.
6. Venus (hottest planet) – Popular book they haven’t read yet or a steamy book (if they like that sort of thing.)
*Backstage Pass. A book about a college professir who meet up and has a wild fling with her favourite rock guitarist. Hot, with lots of raunchy fun.
7. Saturn (rings) – Romantic book that made you sigh (and hopefully included a ring.)
* Suddenly. I noticed you read Lisa Kleypas like I do. I think you will also like Candace Camp.
OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: Book that has been around your TBR for a while that you think you would both enjoy
*Shiver. It is on both our shelves, and we could both knock it off this month.
9. Comet: Book from their TBR that caught your eye
* Shade. I have been eyeing this one for a while. Another one we could both knock off our lists.
The person that was supposed to pick for Ari can't do the picks so I already PMed Penney to take care of Ari's picks. Now let me see what AlbertaJenn has for me.
Wow AlbertaJenn! You want to kill me with 2 recs of over 600+ pgs!! :)Most likely I'll read A Perfect Match because it's the most convenient. :) I have Backstage Pass on my iPod but I've been saving all those ebooks to read when I get my e-reader and although I have Shiver on audiobook, I need to make sure I'd like the narration before I commit to a buddy read.
Thanks for the recs!
DG, fantastic job. Thank you for hosting the pick it for me this month! Ladies & Jim(LOL): Don't forget that we have a folder where you can make a thread for your buddy reads. Feel free to discuss the book you're reading here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Thanks Claire!!! I have Passion out from the library now :) And I saw the movie The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, so hopefully the book is just as good!!
Regina -* SORRY THIS IS SO LATE!*
1. Sun (star) – Catcher in the Rye - a classic!
2. Moon (satellite) – New Moon, since you've read Twilight & need to finish the series :)
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Hounded by Kevin Hearne (the cover model is gorgeous!)
4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Not sure what's short, but Supernatural with Larissa Ione has short stories
5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Chloe Neill's Chicagoland
Vampire series (Ethan is hot, story is fun!)
6. Venus (hottest planet) – anything by Jill Shalvis
7. Saturn (rings) – Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
9. Comet: Anya Bast
Enjoy :)

LMAO! You don't have to read all of them, D.G.! Just some ideas for inspiration. Now to decide on my picks...
Hey, Laura!I hope some of these hit the mark since your TBR is so small, I had to think outside of the box a bit :) I tried to mix it up with both adult & YA - let me know if you need me to repick!
1. Sun (star) – Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare ~ this isn't on your TBR, but I just got finished reading this series last week & it was a WILD ride! Don't judge them by their covers, they're full of suspense, romance, & plenty of intrigue!
2. Moon (satellite) – Out for Blood by Alyxandra Harvey ~ looks like you enjoyed the first two, so why not finish up with the third? It was a very cute series, quick reads & fun!
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter ~ this is on your TBR & you should definitely bump it up! A series with sexy men, a fascinating mythos, & fun heroines, I know you'll love it!
4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Letters to Elise: A Peter Townsend Novella by Amanda Hocking ~ Looks like you really enjoy this author, so I'm sure this quick read will pick you up :)
5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Generation Dead by Daniel Waters ~ this seems like quite a different premise, it sounds interesting!
6. Venus (hottest planet) – The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins ~ you should TOTALLY hop on the HG wagon!!! This fast paced series is incredibly well written & is being made into a movie!
7. Saturn (rings) – Vision in White by Nora Roberts ~ I can't stop recommending this series to everyone & anyone! Each book made me smile from start to finish with the witty lines, deep friendships, interesting plots, of course, romance!
OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: Intertwined by Gena Showalter ~ I've tried to start this one a couple of times & would love to finish it since Gena is one of my favorite authors! I'd love to read it with you.
9. Comet: Forever by Maggie Stiefvater ~ you liked the first 2 & this one comes out on the 12th! This would be a fun buddy read :)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Jim, thank you for such great picks! What I don't read this month, I'll definitely add to my TBR! I'd love to finish Naked in Death & The Sparkling One - I'd also love to buddy read a Megan Hart novel, which one haven't you read or feel like reading? Let me know!

I own both books so I'd be happy to do both with you. I have never read anything by Nalini Singh but I have heard wonderful things about her. Do you need to get books for the library or do you already own them? I'm glad you enjoyed the picks! :D
ETA: Sorry I was slow going through the comments but I saw that you decided on The Sugar Queen and Faefever! Both are great books! I really think you'll like them! If I don't find a reply from you later, I'll send you a message :)
Hi Alexis!Rooting around in your TBR list was fun! I hope you end up enjoying any of these selections; we seem to have similar tastes in romances (that being the the sweet, fun kind)!
I'd be happy to do a buddy read with you, so let me know if you'd be interested.
Cheers!
Alisha
1. Sun (star) – Book from their TBR you gave 5 stars or if you haven't read any, one with a high rating
-How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf, by Molly Harper
2. Moon (satellite) – Book from their TBR that’s the next in a series they already started or from an author they already liked and enjoyed.
-Four to Score, by Janet Evanovich (the fourth book really kicks the series into gear. Within the first couple chapters you can tell it's something special, even more so than any of the first three installments.)
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Book written by a male author or with a strong male character
-Hounded, by Kevin Hearne (satisfies both parameters. such great things have been said about this book and series. in fact, it's coming up to the top of my TBR pile soon. ^_^)
4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Short book from their TBR
-Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor, by Lisa Kleypas (ah, the master of the sweet and charming contemporary/historical romance!)
5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Book that’s a bit ‘out there’ either because it has an original premise, a funky title or because it’s something they wouldn’t normally read
-Aftertime, by Sophie Littlefield (dystopia of sorts. sci-fi/urban fantasy. intense. a romantic element that doesn't take over the story. lots of pathos. I think you'll like it; you TBR'd "Room," so I imagine you can handle a bit of intensity; you added "Water Wars," so that bodes well for your liking the sci-fi/dystopia aspect; and you've read and liked "The Lovely Bones," meaning you'll likely appreciate the complex emotion and character trauma/inner turmoil/healing process).
6. Venus (hottest planet) – Popular book they haven’t read yet or a steamy book (if they like that sort of thing.)
-Talk Me Down, by Victoria Dahl (The female protagonist is an erotic romance author….but everyone knows her as the sweet girl next door. she returns to hometown and runs into the hot town sheriff. Hijinks ensue. I loved this book, and given that you like Molly Harper, I think you'll like this one by Dahl.)
7. Saturn (rings) – Romantic book that made you sigh (and hopefully included a ring.
-Negligee Behavior, by Shelli Stevens (I had a silly smile on my face reading this one. You will, too!)
OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: Book that has been around your TBR for a while that you think you would both enjoy
-The Unidentified Redhead, by Alice Clayton (Seems like the protagonist--feisty, sweet, adventurous--might be to your liking. There are so many glowing reviews of this one. I'd be happy to buddy-read it with ye!)
9. Comet: Book from their TBR that caught your eye
-Simply Jess, by Pamela Morsi. (Looks like a cute historical!)

Hmmm I wonder why?
By the way I love Buffy! So I consider that a huge compliment.
I love the recs. It was so hard to choose. I think I will read Garden Spells or A Dirty Job

Thanks for the recommendations, Miss! I took a bit time to think about what I was going to read this month. I have to confess, my reading has seriously slowed down in the last month or so, so I am going to take it easy and not get too ambitious this month.
I will start with My Soul to Lose and Invincible. If I have time, I may throw in Once Dead, Twice Shy.
Thanks!
JoyceBig family picnic tomorrow, so I probably won't get much reading done then. With immediate family, cousins, aunts, uncles, kids and friends there'll be upwards of 100 people there. Lots of visiting to do. After I get back home, I should be able to start. Well, as long as it's not too late. I'll get back to you as soon as I can about it.
FYI. I'm a huge Buffy fan, too. I own the whole series on DVD, so I can rewatch whenever the mood strikes me. "Hush" and "Once More With Feeling" both get a little extra play time here and there.
Hi Rena!! Here are your recs! Hope you can find something here, if not message me and I will pick again.1. Sun (star) – Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie
2. Moon (satellite) – Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl
3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) –Marked by Elisabeth Naughton
4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Shaken by Dee Tenorio

Melanie picks for Shell
Vi picks for Brenda
Jane (PS) picks for Mandy
Caroline picks for Sue
Dee for D.G. ~Vile Temptress~
I was going to ask AlbertaJenn to give me more "new to me" recs but as she's feeling under the weather, I'd figure it was just easier to add myself to the repicks.
