Totally Random Nonsense ~ Wacky smartphone auto-corrections

So, I know I'm not the only one with an iPhone. I'm sure other smartphones have a similar feature. They try to auto-correct what it thinks is a typo. (those flippin' tiny ltrs) Sometimes I'm grateful and sometimes I have to LOL at the phone's word.

My recent one ~
I was misspelling: continued
Phone's auto-correction: vomitous

Ok?! I always thought that was a made-up word. One which I frequently use when I've overeaten and start feeling vomitous. LOL!

Have you had any of LOL auto-corrections?

Nope....do you have word prediction on yours? I love some of the things that come up there, but nothing outrageously funny...

I dunno. But, I have been meaning to share some of the funnier ones and never created a spot to do it. Now I have one. Maybe my phone is just making fun of me. LOL!

LMAO! That's hilarious! And, exactly what I'm talking about. I'm just thankful that, so far anyway, I've been able to catch mine before hitting send. Knowing my luck though, I'll have a similar "pie" incident at some point.

I love Damn You Autocorrect!

Mine are never that funny but a friend at work was texting her husband to say she was "going to the bank" and it somehow autocorrected to "ghetto bank" :)

Damn! Vi beat me to it. I freakin' love Damn You Autocorrect. The first time I saw it, I sat here by myself laughing so hard I couldn't catch my breath. Some of them seem a bit made up, but I don't care, they're still hilarious. :)

I turned the autocorrect off on my iphone the day I got it--I hate that. But I didn't turn it off on the ipad, and it drove me up a wall. I can see correcting spelling mistakes, but when I type a real word, spelled right, can the stupid thing not assume that I didn't really mean that word? Ugh. I was backspacing so much, I finally ended up turning it off on there, too. Much better now. :)

I should turn mine off, but sometimes it's so funny. So, for now, I'll leave it.

I also don't understand why I doesn't correct all misspelled words. Some are so obviously wrong, but no help from Mr. Here-let-me-fix-that-for-you. What's up with that? All or nuthin' baby!

I love how it's memorized my southern slang. No longer tries to correct them.

Haha, I'm going to have to remember some to post. I like the auto capitalizations and adding "'"s to words so I keep it, but sometimes it changes my words to the randomest things.
