Ameris (snap228) | 13 comments So, John Green is by far my favorite author. I love his style of writing and his character-driven plots. I've been looking for books that are similar to him in style and characterization...any suggestions? I recently read Anna and the French Kiss (actually at John's suggestion via Facebook) and it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. So I'm hoping to find books like that that I haven't already read. Any thoughts?

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments Some authors the John Green fans usually like are:
David Levithan
Maureen Johnson
Rachel Cohn

It depends how you like your YA fiction. It also depends what you love about John. If you like his humor I would start with those. If you like how real his characters are you may want to even go a bit darker and try Ellen Hopkins, Gayle Forman etc.

I haven't read all of John's books yet but I have heard that Seth Baumgartner's Love Manifesto by Eric Luper is similar to An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

Oh since you like "Anna" check out the recommended reading list on Perkins' website. It is organized by category. Hope that helps. :)

And here is another "boy books" list.

Seems a lot of John Green fans like these types of books. :)
