FAC: Lynsay Sands (June 2011)
I started out as an A and remain an A after finishing
today. It wasn't my favorite in the series, but it was still a fun read.
Finished The Perfect Wife. I really like historicals and this one is no different. The characters are great and the interaction of them are so realistic. I would definitely read her stories again. I am intersted in fining out if the paranormal are just as good. Mark me as a B (leaning toward the A side) for this author. Thanks for another introduction to a very good author.
I finished The Countess on 06.18.11. This was the first historical romance that I've read by this author and really enjoyed it - 4 stars. I've read most of the Argeneau series and loved them. I started as an A and end as an A.
I finished Lady Pirate today 6/18. I really enjoyed it- 4*. The humor in this book really made it stand out for me. I loved Valoree, the heroine, as she was not your standard historical era woman. She is a pirate forced to "fit in" in English society. It was cute, funny, and Valoree and Daniel had great chemistry together. I was a C and now I would say I am a high B.
I read
. I had never read her before and typically do not care much for historical novels but I was pleasantly surprised. So in conclusion, I started as a C and ended as an A. I look forward to other Lynsay Sands books.
I read the Rogue Hunter and give it 3 stars. I started out as a 'C' and end an 'A'. I would like to check out her other Argeneau books.
Just finished
. I really enjoyed it. I gave it 3.5 stars. I was a "B". Now I'm an "A". I will definitely read the rest of this trilogy.. and the Argeneau series.
I finished A Quick Biteand I really enjoyed it. I am an A - would definitely look at her other books, since I've enjoyed this one very much.
I actually really liked this one. I love the Port Henry characters. I'm glad she is doing a novella for Sheriff Teddy.
I started an A and still an A
I finished Lady Pirate. I was and will continue to be an A. Lady Pirate was one of the first books I read by Lynsay Sands. I still love it every time I read it.
I knew there was something I forgot to do yesterday. LOLI finished
yesterday, and I quite enjoyed it. 4 stars. I was an A and I remain an A.
I finished Born to Bite earlier today (6/22). It wasn't my favorite Argeneau ever but still enjoyable. I still love that series so I remain an A.
Okay, I started reading A Quick Bite, but really despite the fact that I am a major vampire fan, it just didn't grab me. I didn't hate it, but...well, so many books, so little time. I won't say that I wouldn't read her again (or even try this book again some day when I'm terminally bored, I have nothing else to read and a copy of the book appears miraculously in my hands), but...for now, eh, I returned it to the library without finishing. Guess that makes me a B.
RRRC = FAC: Lynsay Sands (June 2011)6/1 to 6/30 DONE
1/1 complete
I'm an A and will read The Reluctant Vampire (Argeneau, #15). after i am still an A
Forgot to post my review... I read Single White Vampire and gave it 3 stars. So far, the best in the series but not by much.
I guess the problem for me started with the female lead character, I couldn’t relate to Kate at all, she’s so pushy and rude… and Luc… well… he’s just kinda Meh! for me.
The book was pretty funny and, even though I started to get really really frustrated with Luc and Kate, I ended up liking them as a couple. I would’ve liked the story not to end as abruptly as it did, it felt rushed and after the whole deal with these two, I wanted to savor a super romantic finale.
I’ll probably continue with the series but it’ll take a while for me to pick the next one.
Started a B and continue a B.
okay .. so I finished A Quick Bite yesterday (6/24) & as much I wanted to like it but I couldn't .. The beginning was intriguing but unfortunately it didn't hold my interest for long.. I guess that makes me a C again
Just finished Love Is Blind. I found it to be so adorable. I'd consider myself an A. I've heard about her vampire series, but I've always been hesitant to start it.
Amanda wrote: "Just finished Love Is Blind. I found it to be so adorable. I'd consider myself an A."I read the same book and loved it too. Did you find the truncheon/pie thing a bit overdone too?
Miss wrote: "I'm a B, i've read on of her historicals which i've really enjoyed. I'll be reading A Quick Bite."
Forgot to update, I finished my book on 06/06, but it was boring, not as good as her historical, I don't think I'll be continuing with her vampire books but I'll try another historical. I was a B and am now a B-.
Katharina wrote:I read the same book and loved it too. Did you find the truncheon/pie thing a bit ..."
The first few times it was mentioned, I thought it was funny and quirky. But really...to get so worked up about it seemed a bit overdone. Throughout the book, Adrian treated Clarissa with the utmost care, so I saw no reason for her to be so overly frightened. And with all the truncheon talk, the actual scene where they finally get it on was a bit anticlimactic because of it.
I'm a C and I finished
. I found it very addicting and couldn't put it down. I had to finish it. The Argeneau vampires are intriguing...Vampires who find drinking "off the hoof" as not socially acceptable. LOL! I'm now an A, and will be reading
as soon as the library sends it.
Jane, maybe (just a thought) instead/include in the montage - get a count of how many read which of the books. Looks like a lot of A Quick Bite's and Devil of the Highlands, but which was read the most this month? Any idea?does that make sense?
My Goodness! so many of us opted for the Scottish herO! ^_^. I also read
and lest recap... hmm. I started as an "A" and at this pt i think i will be "B".
Debbie wrote: "Jane, maybe (just a thought) instead/include in the montage - get a count of how many read which of the books. Looks like a lot of A Quick Bite's and Devil of the Highlands, but which was read the..."yeah, like Stats of reader`s choice. That would be pretty good to see!
Looks like it may be somewhere around ... 11 -
7 -
6 -
5 -
but I am not sure what else, those are just the big ones that leap out at me.

There are 95 participants and I didn't want to keep redoing the list :)
Due to popular demand (Debbie and Autumn) and because I had some spare time at work...Some stats:
All A's (currently 20 = 95%) remained A's bar Pansy who downgraded to a B
5 (33%) Bs upgraded to As, the balance of Bs (10 = 67%) remained Bs
14 (58%) C's upgraded to As, 9 (38%) Cs sit as Bs now, 1 C won't bother reading LS again
1 D remains unimpressed; no further input from the other 2 Ds
For those who read multiple titles I have only taken the first book read... (There were a few with a particular mention to Tishke who read every book from A Quick Bite to The Renegade Hunter (Rogue Hunter, #3)!!)
Stats on book titles:
A Quick Bite - 12 readers
Devil of the Highlands - 8 readers
The Reluctant Vampire - 6 readers
The Countess - 5 readers
Love Bites - 4 readers
More C's were converted to A with...
a tie between A Quick Bite and Devil of the Highlands (4 readers each)
The most popular book read by As was The Reluctant Vampire
Finally finished
. I was a C and finished a B. It was just okay for me. I enjoyed the characters but it could have used some editing and I figured out the menace long before they did. I would read another and maybe even try the historicals but not in a hurry to do so.
is mee... kissa wrote: "=D do you feel all high and mighty now?"LOL. I'm too short to be 'high' and too weak for 'mighty' - just pleasantly 'chuffed' :)
I guess I forgot to post for this challenge, probably because I couldn't decide which book to read, but I was a C, I read Love Is Blind and I really liked it so I'm an A now. The story didn't blow me away but I love regency era romances and this one had very likeable characters. Even the villains were actually difficult to dislike, which was probably the only unpredictable part of the story, but it was sweet, funny, and had a nice HEA.
Jane (PS) wrote: "LOL! Sheez thanks *kicks the ground* ;)"awww ((((huuuuggs))))))
you`r so cute Jane :P. I agree with kissa, thanks a bunch for the stats! they are always interesting! xoxoxo
Jane (PS) wrote: 'LOL. I'm too short to be 'high' and too weak for 'mighty' - just pleasantly 'chuffed' :)"hey!!! i'm a shorty too! wait, no. i'm not short, everyone else is just tall. there. my logic is undeniable! =P
bahaha! Autumn knows I'm horrible at acronyms. You, Jane, have my name in acronyms (i think). Yes? IMK? c'est moi, oui? i had to research said acronym before I was able to figure out it was me. Geez I can be thick. IMK Kissa. say it with me. I-M-K. =D
anywhose. yep. me and Autumn are hilarious.

I finished Devil of the Highlands and A Quick Bite. I found myself reading as I made dinner and folded laundry, which means that I couldn't really put them down, but they also didn't hold my full attention span or brain/motor function.
