Quarterly Challenge (Summer 2011)
MaryJean,7. I'm STUCK! Does anyone have a suggestion?
It depends what you like... I renamed this category 'fantasy that isn't urban,' meaning it's fantasy in a historical setting. A series I love in this sub-genre is His Majesty's Dragon. You could also read historical fiction. I read and loved Revolution earlier this year, which isn't as straight-up historical fiction as Chains and Forge are. Look at what we who have decided on what to read are reading and see if any of those books interest you.
Happy Reading!

Thanks Rebecca, Tatiana and Julia :) I went from zero ideas to 5 new books on my to-read list haha.. I can already tell that starting this challenge was a good idea; I normally wouldn't read historical fiction but the books you guys recommended all look interesting! I'm leaning toward The Morning Gift by Eva Ibbotson for this challenge, hopefully I can find it at my library. If I can't find that, What I Saw And How I Lied is going to be my second choice..
Thanks again for all the awesome suggestions, they were such a big help!
So here is my plan thus far.I don't have any ideas for my New Release yet because, well, to be honest, I work in a used bookstore and don't tend to see new releases very often. But if it gets too far into the summer and I haven't seen any of the newest releases come through, than I'll head over to the Barnes and Noble across the way from where I work.
2) new release: Always a Witch (Aug 1, 2011)
7) historical fiction/fantasy: Keeper of the Grail
8) minority: Pirates!]
10) anthology: Firebirds Rising: An Anthology of Original Science Fiction and Fantasy

Thanks for the challenge!
I am having some difficulties. My kobo broke :( And most of the books I planned on reading were on it. I will do my best to read them off the calibre program but I can't read as much at a time because of the back lighting. I WILL continue though. And just a word about about kobo, They have AWESOME customer service!! my husband called them the day my screen went wonky and they automatically said they would send a prepaid box to us and we just have to stick the kobo in it and send it back. They said it would be 5-7 days for the box to arrive and I had it 2. Unfortunately I wasn't home so I now have to go pick it up at the office. If anything I am even happier with my kobo now. (or at least will be when I get it back)
