What are you reading?
I am reading Storm of Swords, book three in the Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. Brilliant and epic fantasy/alternative universe/historical fiction all wrapped into one with some of the most detailed and real characters in all of literature.
the two afterwards are harder to read due to the character and geographical division, but they add tons more into the already detailed world and have a lot of surprises in store for you so cheers :P

John wrote: "Karen M wrote: "Starting a love story tonight T'on Ma that takes place in the 1850's. Sounds very interesting."sounds intriguing -P why is the title like this?"
T'on Ma is the protagonists name in the Kiowa (Native American) language, it means Water Woman.

this is one promiscuous book list =P hahaha
An alternative way to post covers is after the title links, just do the covers on one line only so it'll look something like this:The Chronicles of Narnia
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Magician's Nephew
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Last Battle
Michael wrote: "I just finished Man and Boy, it was medicore, I was expecting more."did you review it??? i wanna read it.. +P
I'm a little over halfway through with The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters and Life as We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Both are really good, and I'm actually surprised at how quickly I'm flying through The Little Stranger!

I did a review, you can check it out.
I just finished ONE THOUSAND WHITE WOMEN THE JOURNALS OF MAY DODD by Jim Fergus and loved it! Now am reading PRIVATE #1 SUSPECT by James Patterson.
Deadhouse gates and so far enjoying it... Erikson does a good job so far at holding my attention... although the language isnt so intricate as Martin's IMO, the storytelling is great and the dialogues are well crafted, the action surprisingly fast paced for such tomes as malazan ones
Just starting Jose Saramago's The Lives of Things and it is wonderful so far. I expected nothing less.
Ann from S.C. wrote: "I just finished ONE THOUSAND WHITE WOMEN THE JOURNALS OF MAY DODD by Jim Fergus and loved it! Now am reading PRIVATE #1 SUSPECT by James Patterson."Did you enjoy ONE THOUSAND WHITE...I read it for a book discussion and thought it was interesting.
Renee wrote: "I just finished Everfound and now I am back to battling my way through Angel Evolution I am not a fan."Are you reading Angel Evolution for a discussion or class? I have found that there are too many books in the world to spend time reading something I am hating, unless I need the information for a discussion or class. Have a great day!
Right now I'm reading Blue Sky Days by Marie Landry. I got it free as one of those read & review things. I'm 5 or 6 chapters into it so far and it's pretty boring. the novel is not very well written and its meant to be a YA romance novel but the main characters who are 19 & 22 talk like their in their 60's! And if that wasn't bad enough, the love story is far too unrealistic, so I'm finding it very hard to connect with the characters. I think this is one novel where I'm definitely going to struggle through it.
Jess wrote: "I'm a little over halfway through with The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters and Life as We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Both are really good, and I'm actually surprise..."I really liked the two books by Sarah Waters that I read awhile back - Affinity and Fingersmith. Glad to hear you are liking The Little Stranger. I'll have to pick that one up!
I'm finally reading Dead Until Dark which seems to be a very fast read. Almost done with Blood Island: A Matt Royal Mystery which definitely reminds me of the Travis McGee series by John D. MacDonald and I just started Site Unseen.
I'm reading it because I'm teaching it, but it's an engrossing novel: Ron Rash's Saints at the River.
Alex wrote: "I'm reading it because I'm teaching it, but it's an engrossing novel: Ron Rash's Saints at the River."all the books above sounds so interesting =P
I just finished reading," SONGS IN ORDINARY TIME"BY MARY MCGARRY MORRIS it is a novel set in Vermont deeply engrossing .MY next book to read is" MARCH" BY GERALDINE BROOKS
Claire wrote: "Jess wrote: "I'm a little over halfway through with The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters and Life as We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Both are really good, and I'm actu..."It is very good! I like her writing. I'll have to check her other books out sometime.
I finished The Little Stranger and thought it was excellent. Now I'm going to read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I figure it's about time I give this series a try!
I just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude and I picked up London Is the Best City in America. :)
I finished The Book Thief, which I loved - one of the very few books (for me) that lived up to the tremendous hype. Now starting The Diamond Age: Or, a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer, which predictably (so far) for Neal Stephenson is packed chock full of imaginative ideas.

wow the book thief!!!!!! i wanna steal a copy!!!!!!!
I'm reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and re-reading The Forgotten Garden. I started The Highest Stakes, but am not sure if I'll finish it- the story is good, but the author just goes on and on with endless, boring, and unnecessary details about horses and horse racing. The woman has an unhealthy obsession.
Just finished one. Death of a Man
. This is a true story about the death of the writer/editor Charles Wertenbaker, by his widow, the writer Lael Tucker Wertenbaker. Unusual for the time (early 1950s) he insisted on being told the truth about his illness and making his own decisions about his final days, and his wife manages to support him in this utterly without becoming subservient or losing herself in the process. The writing is lyrical and reminiscent to me of Capote or Hellman. I read this because Garson Kanin (who also co-wrote "Adam's Rib" for Tracy and Hepburn) wrote a play based on this book which I read recently and which impressed me.
Yuliya wrote: "It's me, books or my flu???????? I've never had so many books in row then recently which I don't like and rate 1 or 2 stars!!!!!!!!!"Me tooooo. I feel like I haven't read anything decent in ages. Blah.
Just finished another one (33 to go in this batch!)--Compromised
which I really enjoyed although in a couple of places some expressions that were clearly anachronistic jerked me out of the story somewhat.

I did enjoy it. I read it for book club which we are having on Saturday. I can't wait to discuss it!
I was just at the VA Hospital and saw a box of donated books. I've always been a John Hersey fan (Hiroshima, White Lotus, etc.) and saw his name on "The Algiers Motel Incident," printed in 1968 about police violence against black people during the Detroit riots. Very timely, but a horror movie that's really a documentary. It's leaving me a little queasy, a reaction I've never really had to a book before. I'm on page six.
