I finally finished Captain Corelli's Mandolin. There were about a hundred pages that I just loved but the rest was just okay.

Read through How I Live Now really quickly. It was just okay too.

Now I've got a good start on Mistress of the Art of Death and I'm really enjoying it so far.

I read Darkly Dreaming Dexter and absolutely loved it! I literally could not put it down. I started on The Exorcist after that and I'm about 20-30 pages in.

Just finished Promise Me by Harlan Coben and really liked it. This is my first Myron Bolitar novel, though I have read other Coben books. Myron is just quirky enough for me to like him. I would have given it 5 stars, but it got a bit predictable at the end.

I just started Undone by Karin Slaughter. I received my copy through the Goodreads First Reads program, it's the first book I have gotten.

I have never read anything by her before, and it is moving fast. It is also a bit gory for me. Kind of like Criminal Minds (the TV show) on paper. I suspect it will be creepy soon enough, but don't know yet. I may not be able to read it in the dark :)

Just picked up Something Missing A Novel by Matthew Dicks, about an obsessive-compulsive burglar who only takes items the homeowners won't miss. Looks like a fun read.

I am half-way through The Broken Shore A Novel and am just starting Legacy for my Tudor group.

As for The Book Thief, I must be the only person on the planet that picked that book up, read about two chapters, and decided I didn't like it. Everyone in all my groups seems to rave about it, including my sister. I'm thinking I must have missed something and should try it again.

So far (50 pages in) I like it. The dark humour is just hilarious. And the case was not what I was expecting. I do like surprises :)

Hey there! I am currently reading The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton and am really enjoying it. Recent great books I've read include Cutting for Stone by A. Verghese, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by S. Larsson (I'm waiting for the next one to come out in the U.S. at the end of this month: The Girl Who Played With Fire) and A Reliable Wife by R. Goolrick.

Lyn, I only read a couple of chapters of The Book Thief and stopped. It just didn't grab me at all-i don't know why.
