Ginger Partington I love her blog, and she looks like Peppermint Patty meets Rosa Kleg - I mean tough, cynical and ironic. I can't think of a more suitable commentator for the age of Blackwater.

Alexandra These are the YA/older kids books I've read this month, and enjoyed:

Coraline by Neil Gaiman
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
The Perilous Gard by Elizabeth Marie Pope (re-read)
Stardust by Neil Gaiman (re-read)

Anyone else read good YA books recently?

Chasing Vermeer (eh)

Janis, is Stardust the book the recent movie was based on?

Alexandra Yes, this Stardust book by Neil Gaiman is what the movie Stardust was based on. The movie had some changes - of course - a couple things condensed, a couple others altered, but over all it was fairly true to the book. If you liked the movie, you'll probably enjoy the book.
