Santos (santosbooks) I love reading good books in great locations, what are some of your favorite places around town to read?

message 4: by Aaron (new)

Aaron | 1 comments I like to just sit in bed on some weekends and forget about the busy week with a book in hand. I also like reading at the beach (read 2 books last august in Puerto Vallarta).

Daydree | 1 comments Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, definitely

Colby Barlow (x-faded) | 1 comments I like to read in trees. Balboa park has some nice trees, easy to climb, comfortable, and spacious.

Ana (bohemiangrace) | 1 comments Presidio Park definitely but I like going to Coronado to read.

Joelberg | 1 comments I like to sit on my porch with a beer or a glass of tequila on the rocks, kick up my feet, and sip and read.

Loren | 1 comments Balboa Park
Ferry Landing Park/the beach or cafe at the Hotel Del Coronado
Sometimes Mission Bay

Víctor Alzina I live in Tijuana, but years ago I lived close to Balboa Park, and even thou back then I didn't read in the park I think it would be a great idea to go there to read.

Kristen (kjsmulvihill) | 1 comments The Japanese Friendship Garden is truly worth the $3 in admission for reading in a quiet and friendly setting, especially this time of the year.

I also recommend the Point Loma Public Library.

Paloma Pierce | 2 comments Cafe Chloe with a luxuriously huge spiced mocha. Mmm mmm. :)

message 13: by Maria (new)

Maria | 1 comments Balboa Park is nice. So is the Panera in Chula Vista. :) Usually I just read in bed, though, or in a chair in my yard.

Jayelle Cochran (jayelle_cochran) | 5 comments My favorite place is Tecolote Canyon. It's close to my house and when I can make it down it's a beautiful area. Sometimes I don't even feel like I'm near civilization (except for the occasional lawnmower or airplane whose sound makes its way down there).

*hugs*
Jayelle

JennanneJ | 4 comments Ah. So many good suggestions here. But also, it is currently raining! And the sun is going down. I wish there were more cozy cafes in San Diego.
