Lori (moderatrixlori) Ahh...bodice rippers. This is the only book I've read on the list so far. I was 13 when this book came out and I spent hours in my bedroom devouring every word and passionate embrace. I went on to read most, if not all, of her other books. I don't remember the details but of course it follows the formula that most books of that era followed. Girl meets man (it's always a girl and a much more mature man), girl hates man but secretly falls in love with man while trying not to fall in love with said man. A passionate roll in the hay ensues and they live happily ever after. I feel somehow vindicated that this book made the list.

This books were so much fun to read in high school when I thought Romeo and Juliet was romantic

Alie | 3 comments I loved this book. I haven't done the whole bodice ripper book tour but when someone says those words, this is always the book that comes to mind.
