Hinihintay ko talaga mag comment ka Jzhun! Hehee!
Lynai wrote: "Hinihintay ko talaga mag comment ka Jzhun! Hehee!"Well there's that! ;)
And Stephen King is over-rated for my taste!
Ahahaha! :D
ANGUS: I have those but I don't think I have energy to read in the Reading Buddy style ha ha. I have been a lousy buddy since "Cloud Atlas"Typing my thoughts per chapter... it just slows me down. I have my 2011 Reading Challenge, that's why.
When I am 5-10 books ahead, I'll read with you again.
KRIZIA: I read that Dickens before and have no intention of reading it again. The book that I want to read of him is Our Mutual Friend. I have my copy for a couple of years now.
KD: Sa Cloud Atlas lang ba? Pati yata sa The Heart is a Lonely Hunter eh, hahaha. Kidding. Ayos lang naman. I read faster without a buddy, but it takes away the excitement of having someone to rant and rave with.

I'll only be re-reading it... di ko natapos kasi before, boring. My favorite Dickens' is "Great Expectations"
Po wrote: "krizia naghanap nko sa BS Virra mall, shopesville, cubao wala me makita Carrie book?"It's okay, I'll just read by myself :)
ANGUS: Sabi ko nga "since Cloud Atlas"So I was not a good reading buddy in Ilustrado, Heart is a Lonely Hunter and Watership Down. Nobody's perfect ha ha.
But I did my best sa Saramago, De Laclos, Murakami, Atwood. My favorite pa rin is Atwood. For me that was the model reading buddy setup so far.
I will just finish Watership Down, then we can read together again. Speaking of raving and ranting, I think we need to focus more on the reactions and thoughts instead of summarizing the chapters. I just eats a lot of time especially since I type my comments here in the office and it will become obvious if I have a book in front of me ha ha. I tend to forget the names of the characters when I read. So, sometimes my chapter summary seems not too polished like yours ha ha!
Yesterday, during the mini-meetup. Sheryl and I were thinking of reading together A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY by John Irving. Another depressing book. But this will be after next week. Anybody who'd like to join us? Weeping time again!
KD: Yep, I prefer the reactions and discussions. I actually think it's not really necessary to give summaries. Nahihiya lang akong sabihin noon kasi yun ang initial trending, tsaka newbie pa lang ako nun, hehehe. Not so newbie na ako eh, o sadyang makapal lang talaga ang mukha ko?? Summaries can be provided for clarification siguro.John Irving? I'd like to read his The World According to Garp, but my copy is still in Baguio.
@KD and Angus: I'm okay with either of Irving's book, whichever you guys decide. Just inform me of the schedule ahead of time. :) Am not very good with putting my thoughts into words but I'll try my best. :D
SHERYL: On Monday, May 30, Angus and I will start our Jennifer Egan's
A VISIT FROM THE GOON SQUAD
Siguro, 1 book at a time na lang muna. Want to join us? I got my copy from Powerbooks Mega kahapong lunch. Meron pa silang copies.

Looks interesting. Curious about the powerpoint chapter. I'll join you guys if I get a copy of the book by the 30th.:)
Uy KD! Wala pa akong copy nito, baka sa June na ako bumili. Sobrang dami na yata ng nabili kong books this weekend.
WILLIAM: That's very tempting. When are you going to start?BUTTER: If it will be sometime in the middle of June, I will also join you.
William wrote: "Jenny and I will read
any takers?"I was just talking about this book during the recent mini meet up. That's a hefty one.
JZHUN: Yes I have that book for more than 10 years now. It is starting to get moldy ha ha! So, I guess it is about the right time to finally read it.
Sabi nila you should read The Fountainhead first before Atlas Shrugged. Si author pala ang nagsabi nun.
Angus wrote: "Sabi nila you should read The Fountainhead first before Atlas Shrugged.
