I haven't read it myself but maybe someone else here can help you out with it.1

THere was a lot of controversey when U. first came out. The writer's style is unusual to say the least, but I love his prose and the way he alludes to things. Even if you don't understand a lot of his meaning (I'm sure I missed tons) his prose alone is often like a fine melody.
