Taking Malaysian Literature to a Slightly Greater Heights...huhu

Hello.

I need help from all of you book lovers here. Now we all know that Malaysia do have some fantastic literatures and awesome reads. It's a shame if these lits didn't get a chance to show themselves to the world. This is what I'm trying to do. Well, maybe not to the whole world, but it's a start...hehe

I got an invitation to do a guest post by this German book blogger. She's doing a segment in her blog called Around The World Guest Post Series where she gets book bloggers from all across the world to feature some great books from their respective countries in her blog. I was chosen as the book blogger from Malaysia to do so. Nervous2..huhu

Here is where I need your help. I need you guys to give me some suggestions as to what books that I should feature in this guest post. Now it could be either in Malay or English, as long as it's written by Malaysian authors. I have few books in mind but I still need more suggestions. I want to feature stories that reflects Malaysian lifestyle, but if you have a better idea, feel free to suggest.

I really really need your help here people. Thanks a lot. Start writing those suggestions ok...huhu

Interlok adalah buku yang paling sesuai. Saya kurang bersetuju dengan Salina sebagai 'stories that reflects Malaysian lifestyle'. Tambahan lagi, latarnya di Singapura. Lagipun, wajarkah buku dengan tema dan subjek tentang pelayan @ pelacur diangkat sebagai novel yang mewakili cara hidup rakyat Malaysia.

Kepada yang bercadang untuk memberi respons kepada komen saya ini, mohonlah supaya membaca kedua-dua buku ini dahulu sebelum membuat komen lanjut. Terima kasih.

One personal observation : how come you can spell correctly when you choose to use English. But when it comes to Bahasa Melayu, everything got shorten and spellings go haywire.

Please, do not take our language for granted, my dear.
