George Straatman I initially posted a thread inviting fantasy, sci-fi and horror authors to participate in a reciprocal cross promotional concept with a mind to using my website’s author blog to spotlight some of their creative works…this offer stands and will continue to stand as I would like to see aspiring authors work together to promote each others’ works and the genres we love. Here is a list of authors I have featured on my blog since initiating this concept:

AUTHOR GENRE TITLE

Kriss Perras Running Waters Sci-fi 300 Nights

Patricia Puddle YA fantasy Velvet Ball and the Broken Fairy

Jess C Scott Fantasy Other Side of Life

Nicki J Markus Fantasy Dragon’s Heart

Franz McClaren Fantasy Home Lost (Clarion of Destiny 1)

Tracy Falbe Fantasy Union or Renegades (Rys 1)

I have a group of other in the que and ready to be posted. Again, I invite other authors to participate…while reciprocal posting is the concept and is preferred, it is not strictly necessary…just submit a cover jpeg, synopsis and purchase and or contact links to geolouicewind@yahoo.ca and I will post your submission of my blog at www.georgestraatman.com. I believe we can all benefit by fostering a co-operative environment of promoting our works and the genres we love to work in.

Patricia Puddle (trishapuddle) | 240 comments Thanks, George. It's a great idea. Oh, my story Velvet Ball and The Broken Fairy is Middle Grade fiction or Junior Fiction, however, some of my sales have come from adults. I've sold quite a few to elderly pensioners in retirement villages as well as to kids. That's a great market for children's books as many elderly people prefer smaller books.

message 3: by George (new)

George Straatman Thanks for the clarification, Patricia...sorry for the wrong label...fairer to refer to your story as children's fantasy then?

message 4: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Puddle (trishapuddle) | 240 comments Thanks, George, it's so thoughtful of you to do this. I'll keep your details on my blog too.

Cheers.

That's a great list, George. Thanks for adding mine. I'm in the process of creating a wesite as well as my blog, then I can add those links to my links page on my website too. Great.

Thanks, George. Yes I'm finally publishing Molly Gumnut Rescues a Bandicoot. I've been writing this story for years now, but got caught up writing other stories and it was put on hold. Some fans kept asking me when it would be published, so I decided to do one more edit, then go ahead.

The story was inspired by a baby bandicoot I cared for when he was attacked by a cat. The story is children's fiction of course.

I can't wait to get my website running. I'll be able to add so many links, like you do. In the meantime, I'll keep posting on my blog.

George, if you have any updates, let me know and I'll post them too.

I loved your book trailer! I had to do mine through a free site and think it didn't come out so bad (only 30 sec.). Just click my name at the bottom to see it on the Goodreads author page.

George Straatman yes Rainy...I'm on twitter @Geoconverge. I'm posting 2 to 3 featured guests per week and though I still have a backlog, I will work through these in due course...In the midst of preparing for the release of my next novel, but I will still attempt to post new authors on a fairly regular basis...Again, if anyone does fit the criteria of being a fantasy/horror/sci-fi author and would like to be featured...they should send an info package to geolouicewind@yahoo.ca...this should include a cover.jpeg in a separate file attachment...some links where your novel is sold...a good synopsis and a Q&A if you have one... author website, facebook and twitter links are also great...Again, this is about cross promotion to help each other and benefit the genres we love...I appreciate it if those I post would reciprocate, but it is not strictly necessary...I post a master list and it would also be nice to see those on this list contact each other and develop similar relationships...

Timothy Pilgrim (oldgeezer) | 140 comments Hi Mark,
I'm loathed to ask what happened to your right arm, my nasty devious mind has come up with all sorts of possibilities, none of which have any place on here! A little something to make you laugh, my left shoulder is prone to popping out of joint which leaves it with restricted movement for anything from a day to a couple of months, all resulting from throwing myself out of aeroplanes in the army. The day after one of the more serious 'popping' episodes I woke up with a 'frozen' right shoulder.
I muddled along for a few days, as you do, but nothing was getting better so off to the docs.
He sent me to a specialist and after about a week he gave me a couple of cortisone injections, not a pleasant experience, but hey, it worked. A couple of days later the right shoulder is as good as new, and has never bothered me since.
This might sound daft, even a bit sick to some people, but the greatest 'pleasure', may be not quite the right word, but it will do, was being able to wipe my backside in comfort again with my right hand as my wrecked back makes it difficult with the left, even when it hasn't 'popped' recently.
Just thought I'd pass on the happy thought, gives you something to look forward to when it gets better, soon I hope!
All the best Paul Rix [oldgeezer]

I hear you on the 'greatest pleasure' - I ruptured a disc in my lower back and for three or four months anything involving the bathroom was fraught with danger!
