That will be great, Hannah. You have an appreciative audience here. Who better to play for than people who love piano music?

Yeah there were a lot of people there, and I have some younger siblings. Sorry about that.

Thanks everyone! I'll post another soon, once I take one. XD

Emily Oh good job Hannah! You played that song well. :) I like Waterfall. I picture a waterfall scene in my head when I play it. Do you ever do that?

Yeah. My mom teaches the next 3 below me. I'm the only one with a piano teacher, since I'm past her level .XD. I have 6 siblings.

I'm the oldest of five. Wow, aren't there any "middle kids" here?

Klymene, I love how you say such nice things about your sister. I often hear people admire their older sisters or brothers, but not as often do I hear them praise the younger ones.

message 31: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I agree!

Honey Hawthorne Yep I'm the youngest of two but it really doesn't count so much because there is only two of us.....

message 33: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I wish my family is bigger, and I'm getting my wish. Two of my siblings got married this past year and the last one is engaged. So, three more siblings for me!

Wow, I just noticed -- the last post here was exactly one year ago (and about 6 hours) ;-)

I love Chopin Nocturnes. Here's a nice performance:

Patrick, A lovely from-the-heart choice, beautifully played. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute. (I copied the link to my Facebook page to share with family and friends.)
I would love to see more of your playing. Do you have a website?

message 39: by Patrick (new)

Patrick Johns | 10 comments Thanks Jeanne. To be honest it was the first time I have played a solo in public - all I have done previously is a bit of accompanying. Playing in this concert was a thrilling (and also terrifying!) once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I have loved the Schumann concerto ever since, as a 17 year old (a LONG time ago...) I heard it played by Valdimir Ashkenazy with the LSO in the Royal Festival Hall London.

Patrick,
I thought for sure you must be a professional concert pianist. Terrifying? You looked completely comfortable, and like all best musicians, you made the difficult look easy and played in service to the music.

You heard Vladimir Ashkenazy play? How wonderful!
