So basically there are 2 jars one for boys and one for girls When you turn 12 your name gets entere ounce and every year it gets added one more time, out of your whole district(not all the districts...just urs)and they just pick a name out of the jar. BUT What Katniss and gale usually do in the book is...well I can't remember what it's called but you get your name added more times and when you do that you get some extra foor. And in disrict 12 they starve there...so it happens alot

Tatum cannot remember what it is called when you enter your name more than once to get extra food. Another thing is the people in the town are better off so it's mostly children in the seam who do that.

Well...Summing it up

The Hunger Games happens every year. It is for kids from all 12 ditricts. For 12-18 year olds. When your 12 your name gets entered ounce and as you get older your name gets entered one more time.Snow, the president lives in the sapitol. All ppl in the capitol watch the Hunger games for Amusement...Well-I cant explain it...It'll be too long!!

Basically all you need to know is 2 kids, a boy and a girl, get chosen "randomly" from each district then they go they get to train a little then they go to an arena to fight to the death.

no, you automatically get entered more every year you grow older. You can CHOOSE to add more than, for example, 3 name tag thingys when you are 13, instead of the required 2.
