I was watching this John and Virginia Doyle video (here it is, I love it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlZjXw...) and I had a strange realization. John is kind of like Gemma's Simon. Now, John is not boring, but he has no idea about the magical world. Virginia picks him. She picks the Simon. Kind of funny isn't it?

Ooo, I just had another thought. Did Virginia have a relationship with Amar at all??? He was her "protector" after all.

Thank you.

It seems highly possible.

Lexi (theonecalledwhatsername) yea it does..hmm

message 19: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 55 comments I always viewed John as someone who was convenient for Virginia. Maybe she came to love him, but at the time she needed a sort of witness protection/relocation program set up. It's Victorian times, doesn't sound like many people married for love back then anyway.

Has anyone read the luxe series? That series proves that back then they hardly ever married for love

message 23: by Lexi (new)

They're okay. Its like reading gossip girl but the setting is in the 1890's to 1900's. And there are so many twists your kinda like "Really? Did this really just happen? Why can't they just be happy for crying out loud!?"
