The Undrowned Child by Michelle Lovric The Mourning Emporium by Michelle Lovric
Has anyone read these books? I absolutly LOVE the covers! Apparently the first book is just coming out for American release. You can get more info and see the book trailer here: http://www.michellelovric.com/Pages/n...

oliviasbooks | 261 comments Yes, I've read about half or so of volume 1 (stopped at page 284). I was not very impressed, rather bored. The mermaid scenes are scarce, too.
Just a boy and a girl running around in an alternative version of Venice solving a mystery. The setting reminded me of The Water Mirror.

Garrett (garrettgoodreads) I love the covers, too! I might check them out, but if I do I'm going to buy the UK versions, since the covers are so much more prettier! :)

Samantha-Ellen Bound | 4 comments I've read the first one, and the next is on my 'to-read' pile. I think they absolutely gorgeous, and the mermaids very unique and charming. They are not the main focus of the story, but I found the story to be well-written, imaginative and completely enchanting.

There is a review on my blog if you want to know my thoughts: http://bookgrotto.blogspot.com

very conflicting thoughts...
I guess I'll just have to read it for myself and decide.
