Crystal (crystalholly) | 8 comments I am interested in books with accurate depictions of the effects of WWII on germany immediately after the war, up until now. I am particularly interested in the psychological effect it had on the citizens and thier sense of nationality.

Manuel | 1439 comments MY CENTURY: a novel written by German writer and Nobel prize winner Günter Grass. Each chapter is only a few pages long and focuses on a single year from 1900-1999.

Even though it deals with an entire century, I found the post war years to be the most interesting.
