What food do you enjoy most while you're snuggled up with a good book?

message 2: by Isabel (new)

Isabel (nomorechocolate) | 11 comments Chocolate. But then, as you know, I can do chocolate at any time. ;)
(Although I don't eat it when I have BC or library books - just to make sure there is no accident happening.)

message 3: by Elise (new)

Elise Ravenclaw (eliseravenclaw) Hmmm...yes, I think it is chocolate for me as well, but I mostly prefer to drink black tea.

message 4: by Amy (new)

Amy (bookczuk) I usually have a cuppa beside me.

message 5: by Antof9 (new)

Antof9 | 15 comments hmmm ... I don't think I've ever been asked this question! I really like chips while reading, but don't indulge very often. I don't think I usually turn to sweet with a book, but that doesn't I mean I wouldn't ever, either. I do like a big cup of coffee (morning) or tea (evening) when I'm reading, though.

What I noticed recently, though? If I'm into the book, I don't need any food to help me through it. If I'm bored or don't much like it or trying to slog through a slow part, I need food to help with it -- lots and lots of food. Funny.

message 6: by Gail (new)

Gail (appleshoelace) Red wine and Doritos. :-) Or green tea and sour candy.

message 7: by Lize (new)

Lize (madameurushiol) | 6 comments Atomic Fireballs and/or green tea, unless I'm reading in bed--not much eating going on there.

message 8: by Ann (new)

Ann (bookwoman247) | 7 comments For me, it's sunflower seeds. I don't have them very often, though, because they are too addicting for me. I literally can't stop eating them once I start. I also like coffee or tea with my book, sometimes.

message 9: by KF-in-Georgia (new)

KF-in-Georgia | 4 comments Diet Coke and BBQ chips (i.e., crisps). Or popcorn. I'm usually not eating sweets when I'm reading.

message 10: by Skyring (new)

Skyring | 7 comments If I ate chocolate while reading, would it be a case of reader's block?

message 11: by Amy (new)

Amy (amyml88) | 1 comments Hm... I don't often eat while I'm reading. Though sometimes I do read while I'm eating! :)

message 12: by Teotakuu (new)

Teotakuu | 25 comments I try really hard not to eat in between meals, although anyone who has seen me in RL knows that I have often failed! Chocolate and chips'n'dip would be my most common reading accompaniments with either tea or coke zero my favoured beverages

message 13: by Antof9 (new)

Antof9 | 15 comments I just realized this is the third night in a row that I'm reading while eating raw almonds. Maybe that's my food of choice, even though I didn't even know it!

message 14: by Celina (new)

Celina I don't often snack while reading, although I sometimes sit down with a book if I'm eating a meal alone. One thing I do a lot is sit down with a pot of tea and a book, most likely herbal tea at bedtime.

message 15: by Cathy (new)

Cathy (cathepsut) I don't really eat classic snackfood, so I tends to be beer, wine, maybe some olives... breakfast, lunch, dinner....

message 16: by Alice (new)

Alice (alicehogan) I don't eat when I'm reading, but I do love to have a hot cup of coffee at my side!

message 17: by Anna (new)

Anna (aetm) | 1 comments Depends on the book and the mood.
On weekends or evenings, sometimes a glass of red wine (or two). Other times coffee or tea (no milk in either), or chai.

message 18: by Jamie (new)

Jamie (meirionwen) | 2 comments I've eaten almost anything while eating... cashews, cheese and crackers, soup, chocolate, candy, full meals. I don't often eat when I read now that I'm grown and on my own. Eating and reading was very logical when I had an hour bus ride home at the end of a long day at school, since I'd get home so close to supper time. If I wanted an afternoon snack, bus time was the best time.

message 19: by Tyler Banks (new)

Tyler Banks (capital_tea) | 1 comments Have to say I rock the Cup of Coffee mostly. Sometimes tea. Both Hot. Cream, & a touch of honey/sugar occasionally.

message 20: by Brenda (new)

Brenda (librarymom23) I would say I have creamy coffee or a cup of herbal tea.

message 21: by Wendy (new)

Wendy I really don't eat much when I read but I do drink coffee. On a very rare occasion I may also have a piece of chocolate.
