She could'nt stop wondering what was inside the beautiful wrapping paper
It was getting really late and there was no sign of the bus.
Her curiosity grew and so did her impatience, so she started unwrapping the gift
but as soon as she unwrapped the first layer, the bus came.
Bathing her in a wave of mud,it went past without stopping.
She felt really irritated, and put out a box of tissue in her bag, started to clean her face and clothes.
She was panic when she looked on the ground, a beautiful statue in the present box felt off and broken.
She was on her knees,collecting the broken pieces, when someone called out to her from behind.

He was trying to hide a grin,as she turned around holding the broken pieces in her hand.
She could not control her tears then and started sobbing
He came near her and said in a soothing voice."..

She felt better and places the broken pieces on his hand carefully, " Be careful, some are sharp!"

" Thank you", she said happily, " How much money? I will pay for you."

He smiled and enquired "Have you heard about the concept - Bring a smile and pass it on?"

He was carefully examining the pieces when her cellphone began to ring.

She sat on the sidewalk stupidly happy imagining how to celebrate the unexpected holiday.

"Hmm.. X makes Y smile, Y makes z smile and it is passed on"
"But you must remember to make a stranger smile", He said.
"Don't say try - say you will do it, my child", said the man with a grin

The bad day suddenly became warm and better by a strange man that she had just met.
She looked around for an amenable stranger whom she can induce to smile.
A few strangers smiled back at her and that made her felt warm.
She approached a chubby 14 year old boy who was idling with his mobile phone.
He was looking around as if trying to find something.
"What are you searching for?", she asked
"nothing in particular, my friend was supposed to meet me here 15 minutes back" he said, once again looking at his watch.
" Don't be worried, she will come", the girl smiled and the boy felt better, too.
Just then, an sms alert beeped on his phone
A puzzled look passed his face & he looked a little uncomfortable about her presence.

After a few awkward minutes, another sms alert beeped
" What is happening?", she thought and started to glance at his worried face.
She could sense that he was trying to hold back his tears
"Need any help?" she couldn't help asking.
"She was standing at the bus stop holding the Valentine's day gift close to her heart. "
