I away for the week and forgot my book. I bought Please Don't Come Back from the Moon by Dean Bokopoulos. I thought it was excellent. It was quite dark. Not a lot to smile about with this book.
Cool I am goona start it this evening it will be good to discuss wit you after you finish to see what you think. Hope the babies get better and you get a chance to put your feet up when there back in school : )
Hey Vicki I started reading it yesterday and cudn't put it down, I thinks its brilliant really interested int he story and whats going to happen with Ayla and the Clan. Bit scary thinking about the 8 yrs olds been mothers though.. Sat up till the early hours myself reading it which probably wasnt the best idea since I'm in work and tired now LOL...
I am currently reading wuthering Heights for a bookclub read and its been years since I read it and I am really enjoying it
.
I lately finished reading Pillars of the Earth (Ken Follett) which I enjoyed and then the DD Warren series by Lisa Gardner but am having trouble getting 'into' anything else since, it's a good series.I tried A Discovery of Witches as it was recommended but noooo, not for me! Am going to join in your April Group Read in hopes it'll get me out of this slump :)
Finally got my hands on The Fry Chronicles, can't wait to start reading it also picked up The Post Birthday World by Lionel Shriver. Vibes and Scribes have a bit of a sale on at the moment so some good bargains to be had.
I'm reading The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party it's no. 12 in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series.
Just love these books.
Anyone else love this series?

Aprilla I loved a discovery of witches... Can't believe you didn't get into it but sure maybe you will have a better luck with American god's I'm looking forward to reading that one and seen what the general opinion is!!
Elaine wrote: ".... also picked up The Post Birthday World by Lionel Shriver....."I got the Post Birthday World after I read We Need To Talk About Kevin, the first Lionel Shriver I tried and I loved it. Never got around to reading it tho so will look forward to your opinion when you get to it
:)
Hi, so this is my first post and I thought it was a pretty good one to start off. Technically I'm Northern Irish but heh, let's not fight over semantics.I started the Darren Shan series yesterday and I feel like I'm loosing IQ reading it. I just finished True Grit and compared to that - this book is like reading something a 12 year old wrote.
Just finished Between Shades of Grayabout a lithuanian family sent to work camps in Siberia during the reign of Stalin and the Second World War. This is a book that stays with you long after you have read it.
I am reading The Book of Lost Things and finding it hard going. It is not the type of book I would usually choose but it was a gift from a friend. We usually share the same taste in books but I am not sure about this one!
I really enjoyed the book of lost things. I like it's reconstruction of the classic fairy tales. Give it a bit longer.
I just started yesterday the Sherlock Holmes series again. I haven't read them since I was younger and I really can't wait to read them all again!
Katie wrote: "Ohh Eileen, give The Book of Lost Things time, stick with it. :) I loved it!"Just finished it, have to say I enjoyed it definitely thought provoking
Just started The Wasted Vigil - I love books set in Islamic countries in particular those set in Afganistan, if anyone has any recommendations let me know
Reading {Wideacre} by {Philippa Gregory}-needed a break from her tudor stuff and man...this is a lot different!!
I finished Sharp Objects and enjoyed it so am now listening to her second book, Dark Places, and am hoping it'll be as good
