Ann (annrumsey) | 14407 comments thanks, Carol!! I had to smile with satisfaction when Connelly mentioned (somewhat jokingly) that maybe he could play Harry Bosch, I can see that!! ... and how hard it is to imagine an actor that could pull it off.

Barry (barrypz) | 2997 comments I always figured he had himself in mind when he wrote Harry.

Ann (annrumsey) | 14407 comments another Michael Connelly interview of sorts - a chat with Matthew McConaughey while driving in the hills of LA! includes the tidbit that there may soon be a deal to free up the possibility of Harry Bosch in a movie too. " He is poised to win a long legal battle with Paramount over rights to the Bosch character."

are you guys excited/ambivalent/concerned about the movie? I don't go to the theater much but I might have to see this one.

Barry (barrypz) | 2997 comments I'm looking forward to it. The M/T Friends movie events have all been fun. Not to mention how lucky Carol is at the Casino.

Ann (annrumsey) | 14407 comments We were a week later than I expected, attending the movie during weekend two instead of premiere weekend, but DD and I LOVED The Lincoln Lawyer!
The LA noir atmosphere was nicely done and the actors were all great in their roles. I thought it was a very good representation of the flavor and character nuances of the book. Matthew McConaughey IS Mickey Haller in my mind now!

Cathy | 180 comments Ann, thanks!! I can't wait to see it.

Barry (barrypz) | 2997 comments Funny in the 5th Witness when the Director asks Haller if he could see McCoughnehy playing him. (view spoiler)

Sherry | 3620 comments Barry wrote: "Funny in the 5th Witness when the Director asks Haller if he could see McCoughnehy playing him. [spoilers removed]"

LOL, barry. how come you're not at the library explaining to all of waterford why millstone is a safe plant and not like the plant in japan?

message 18: by Barry (new)

Barry (barrypz) | 2997 comments Everybody at that meeting has an agenda. I don't care to deal with it. The idea that the accident in Japan makes Millstone unsafe (which the Long Islanders are saying) is preposterous to me.

message 19: by Ann (new)

Ann (annrumsey) | 14407 comments arggghhh, Barry - I am so eager to get to The Fifth Witness!

Of course it's preposterous, Barry. We all know that it's YOU who deserves the credit for making Millstone unsafe. Now move away from that big red button on the console in front of you.
