Sheila Ramirez It's funny how thompson talks about the appeal of these graphica books, mostly because at school having comic books are usually considered taboo. This idea alone of a forbidden fruit is enough to hook the kids into reading them.

Sonia Barajas That is me! I like the way Thompson sees through the students eyes the excitment to read something they think is forbidden. As a student it might be facinating to be reading a comic novel than just a regular book. I think that this is a great way to hook our student especially the ones the need the most motivation to read. I love the examples that he gives and the resources he has in the back of the book.
