Though Varela's poetry books have been supposedly translated into English, I couldn't find any of them. Here, anyway, is a taste of a few, isolated poems in translation. I did find Spanish editions of her books.

What a marvelous suggestion, Marieke. Indeed, I had in mind to go day-by-day with each of Blanca Vardela's translated poems from the above post, sometime in February. I truly would be delighted were a person(s) to create a Topic(s) -- to jump in with several poems by a Brazilian or Peruvian, giving each writer her/his own Topic, like for Blanca Vardela, and the Topics being part of the Folders "Featured Writing of Peru" or "Featured Writing of Brazil". Thus, the visible list of writers would resemble a sort of Table of Contents, while their poetry and posted comments about it would be inside the Topic.
