You have the soundtrack too??? I love the soundtrack. I haven't actually looked up the soundtrack, but I remember loving it. I really liked that song at the end too. So good!

It is excellent Brittany! Very catchy. I got my copy on Amazon. It is worth the $10-15 bucks. Next up I am buying the soundtrack to my new favortie show Instant Star!
hahaha I made my boyfriend watch this with me. I read your comment at like 5:50, Heidi and I ran out into the living room to turn it on. Such a cute movie... not to mention how cute the sex god is! :D
Yay Traci! Aaron Johnson (aka the sex god) is a hottie - I still can't believe he is with someone over twice his age!
Heidi I wrote: "Yay Traci! Aaron Johnson (aka the sex god) is a hottie - I still can't believe he is with someone over twice his age!"Indeed. By the time he gets 40, she will need her first fake teeth :D
whaaaat? I just did a quick Google search and they have a kid, too?! oh that is rather upsetting. I read an article that had a quote from him saying that he wasn't nervous to be a daddy (he was 19 at the time of the interview) and said that he was ready to be a step-dad to her kids, anyway, who were 8 and 13. ...He could be their older brother!!
I'm all for love conquering all and everything... but that's just weird to me.
I think that the first years are like paradise to them. But one day or another, their difference might be a problem...

Recently finished The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan Rick Riordan. It kinda reminded me of some of the fanfic I've seen, but I can't wait to see what happens in Son of Neptune. Also thinking about reading some John Green John Green. which book should I start with?

I just read this and didn't like it much either! So you're not alone :)
Have now moved on to
- I enjoyed some of Scott Westerfeld's other stuff, so I'm interested to see what this series is like.
Suzi wrote: "Just finished The Knife of Never Letting Go and LOVED it. Can't wait to start the next book in the series."What a great series. Probably my favorite of 2010.

I totally agree! His YA books have been lots of fun to read. I'm thinking I'm really going to like this one. It took no time at all for me to get into it.

What is the Switched series like? Its really cheap on e-book but I think it was label a romance which is a red flag to me.Me being not very romantical what do you think of this book for someone like me?

Awhile back a bunch of people on here said they were disappointed by this book, so I returned it to the library without reading it!
Personally, I found the Iron King fascinating. I've always had a thing for fairies and all that, but then, there's also that knowledge of something bad is happening. And the Iron King is threatening to kill this place, just like humans are threatening the Earth. but, to each their own. :)
Kayla I think it is either one of those love it or hate it type books. I am not usually good with those types of books, as I tend to be on the hate it side. Anyway, I meant no offense by my comment :)
I hope you are liking Crazy Amanda. Kayla - good to know! Sometimes I am afraid I offend people with my opinions :)

I wouldn't classify it as a romance but it definitely has some in there. It's more fantasy, I think. Wendy has felt different all of her life and learns that she is Trylle. She is brought back to the Trylle community to try and figure out her place in that world.

Amazon had it classified as Romance on one of the pages that pops up. I can handle romance as a part of the story (Jellicoe Road, everything by Tamora Pierce, Hunger Games, even Iron Fey, Soulless, etc) but I can't handle when it overtakes the story ala Twilight & Shiver. Sometimes with series its a hard tell which way its going to go without consulting people who have already read it.

I just bought

This is one of those series I read great things about, but the first book didn't really thrill me. Do they get better?
Finished
and I did like it (I'm so the minority) but am a little confused--is that the end of the series? Because it seems like it could go either way.Started
. After I finish this I am allowed to buy new books!
I think you really get to know the characters in book two and three. The first one is an introduction rather than an actual part of the main plot. It gets darker and there is more depth as we get to actually know a whole lot more about the demons' world and Nathaniel's twisted personality as he grows to be a powerful magician blinded by personal gain and fame. I personally find the final resolution beautiful. Sorry if it's a bit spoilery but I think that's the best point of the saga and worth mentionning.

(So much to read when you've been gone for a day, I feel so behind)
I didn't really like it either. I only gave it 2 stars, same with the second. i love the concept about the Iron Fey being created as we become more of a technologically advanced society, but I felt like the characters were very one dimentional (with the exception of a few side characters).
So this is so breaking up the discussion but you need to go check out the Bulgarian cover of Hex Hall. It makes me LAUGH. According to Rachel Hawkins Blog "Bulgaria is a magical sexy place, ya'll."
Weird things just amuse me sometimes.

I believe they get better with each book, but it's one of my favorite series (trilogy, whatever you want to call it lol). I love absolutely love Bartimeaus.

And Kitty! She only really is introduced in book two, and she's actually one of the very few female leads I like. I'm kind of a misogynist girl.

A few books have made me cry. (I won't say which, because it's kind of embarrassing). I remember almost breaking down on the bus a few times. Once I came home and my wife took one look at me and said, "What's wrong?!" and I broke down sobbing and partially laughing. Maybe I was over-tired with the new baby and all at the time. :P
