Is that Albus Dumbledore as Mr. Woodhouse aka Michael Gambon? Lol. He's (sleeping hat?) looks like a wizard's hat and I can only imagine him suddenly pulling out a wand or something haha... The series looks good. :)

message 6305: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (bexsi) I finished The Iron Daughter (Iron Fey, #2) by Julie Kagawa A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole You Slay Me (Aisling Grey Guardian, #1) by Katie MacAlister The Hollow by Jessica Verday Sugarplums and Scandal (Love at Stake, #2.5) by Dana Cameron Ghost Town (The Morganville Vampires, #9) by Rachel Caine
I am currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman and The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

message 6306: by Brandie (new)

Brandie Sump JILL don't listen to people about the Vampire Diaries books. To me the books rule and the tv series drools because the tv series at first reminded me of Twilight because of Elena's attitude and way of thinking which really resembled twlight's Bella in the tv show's first episode, and ANYONE WHO SAYS that that is how Elena is supposed to act, they have Never Ever read the books. If you like Anne Rice's Interview With A Vampire Series or just the movies based on her vampires or if you like Annette Curtis Klause's Silver Kiss, YOU WILL LOVE VAMPIRE DIARIES! Also if you have read Rice's vampire novels and like Lestat, Vampire Diaries has their version of Lestat in hot and delicious Damion Salvatore! Both in the books and on the Tv show. Is hot in here or is it me? lol!

Yes it is Michael Gambon! I liked him a lot more in Emma, as Richard Harris will always be my Albus :(

message 6308: by Laraine (new)

Laraine (lala26) | 121 comments Yes Richard Harris was great as the first Dumbledore. :( I'll try to squeeze in Emma(the series) among my other series and books, which are too many to count as always. At present I'm already having too much of Emma to begin with haha...

message 6309: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I read Vampire Diaries Vol. 1&2 but when I am trying to find the next in the series I get confused with what goes next. If anyone could help with this I would love to get next vol.

message 6310: by Gwennie (last edited Feb 11, 2011 08:49AM) (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I read the original 4, The Awakening & The Struggle (now in one book) and The Fury & Dark Reunion (Now in one book).

I haven't read the new additional books. Stormi, after that I think it goes like this...
Nightfall (The Vampire Diaries The Return, #1) by L.J. Smith Shadow Souls (The Vampire Diaries The Return, #2) by L.J. Smith Midnight (The Vampire Diaries The Return, #3) by L.J. Smith

In addition to that there are the other diaries, like these...

Origins (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #1) by L.J. Smith Bloodlust (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #2) by L.J. Smith The Craving (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #3) by L.J. Smith

But I don't think these follow the same as the others. I think they are prequels, or another point of view or something.

It's not free on Amazon yet.

message 6313: by Brandie (new)

Brandie Sump I will try to read Austen when I can Catie. And Heidi I thanks for upbeat attitude at any time and yeah my mom just cool her heels until me or my sister wants to have kids.

Anyway my favorite zombie reading series is Generation Dead. Its like twilight with Zombies and it is rather interesting.

By the way I finshed The Hunger Games and it was good. Im goona read Catching Fire when I can but I need to finish Bhowani Junction before next thursday because my book group will be discussing it then but I have no need to panic cause I'm close to the end, it is an interesting India's history book but there was one character who was so annoying that I am glad I'm near the end of the book.

As for The Help I haven't read alot of it lately just bits and pieces cause of Bhowani Junction but I will gladly return to it fully when I can!

message 6314: by Kurukka (last edited Feb 11, 2011 08:06PM) (new)

Kurukka Catching Fire is even more awesome than HG, IMO :P Hope you have Mockingjay too, cause the ending leaves you wanting moaaaaaarrr.

Currently reading The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) by Rick Riordan . I began today, and I'll be finished by tomorrow. It's incredible how these books read fast and easy, and are so much fun.

message 6328: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Just wait until Monsters of Men!

message 6329: by Traci (last edited Feb 12, 2011 04:00PM) (new)

Traci I finished Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand last night and it was pretty good.

Now I'm kind of in a funk because most of the books I have on my shelf are about depressing topics and I'm not in the mood for anything too heavy right now. I think I'm going to start Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward . It's been on my shelf for forever... but I don't really remember much of what happened in the first one. Hopefully there's some recap :x

I also have to start reading Watchmen by Alan Moore for my comp lit class

My friend is reading it, and I'm sure she's getting annoyed because i text her every few hours and go "Have you read any? Where are you?" I'm really trying to hold out on rereading it so soon, but it's hard.

I was doing that to my mom : D

message 6333: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Yeah, i was thinking about how it would only be Todd in the first, I am excited to hear the narrators too. Plus, get that new whole perspective on the books.

I've gotta finish Outlander Audio though.

message 6334: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Wendy I have looked at Outlander on audio many times, but it is sooo long I have avoided it. I love Donita Peters from the Agatha Raisin audiobooks and I think she narrates Outlander. So is it worth the time??

message 6335: by Gwennie (last edited Feb 12, 2011 07:27PM) (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I think I'm biased, lol. I may have mentioned this before, but Outlander is my all time favorite book of all time. So my instinct is to say yes.

Davina Porter is the narrator for the Outlander series. I love her, and I think that she changes from the charaters smoothly. Not to mention that her gentle british voice is quite soothing, lol.

Most of the people I've heard of who've listened to it, loved it. I've read Outlander like 20 times, but they're the ones who finally convinced me to listen on Audio.

I think that since you love Audio books you could give it a shot. They are long though, 4 parts and each one is right around 8 hours long.

message 6336: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I'll give it a shot Wendy!

Catching Fire is even more awesome than HG, IMO :P Hope you have Mockingjay too, cause the ending leaves you wanting moaaaaaarrr. -Oh I plan to have both on my kindle app for my laptop for sure!

- Cecilia: Currently reading the sea of monsters/Percy Jackson book Two. I began today, and I'll be finished by tomorrow. It's incredible how these books read fast and easy, and are so much fun.

Yes they are so much much fun. Out of the series book 2 sea monters and book 3 Titan's Curse are my most favorite. Book 2 is because of Tyson he is so awesome and it gives Percy Jackson a chance to behave and act like a big brother in the other books, 3-5, which is cool too.

The reason why I like book 3, and SORRY FOR FUTURE SpOILERS CECILIA, is because of my best friend and her little brother. Even though they are 6 yrs apart, they act and look like Twins. And the Twins in the third book, SPOILER ALERT, are Artemis and Apollo which my best friend Dayna and her little brother James act like. So the bickering scene between Apollo and Artemis in the third book made me laugh so hard cause that is Dayna and James at times. Dayna agrees to my assessment but her mother doesn't think so but thats another story.

I have all of them except Shadowfever in e-book form. I'm on the library waiting list for the last one unless my friend gets it before I can get it from the library.

Tracy T. I finished Bitterroot Crossing by Tess Oliver and Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta last night. Both were pretty good. I realized that Melina Marchetta is one of those authors who's writing style is so effortless that before you know it, the book is finished and you're sad.

That's okay, it's not a big spoiler :) It's cool to read books you can relate to that way. You feel a little closer to the story and its characters. And I soooo love Tyson, I think he's the best thing of the book. I tend to get very emotional with characters as sweet and innocent as Tyson.
