Maria | 4 comments I'm 46 and live in Seattle--a perfect place to be a mystery fan, with all the rain and cloudy days. I tend to read genre fiction, mostly mysteries and SF, in the winter, and literary fiction in the summer.

I've been a mystery fan since I read all of Dick Francis' novels when I was 17. (Yes, all of them, one after another, until they blurred together.) Then it was on to Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and Conan Doyle. Lately I've been interested in psychological mystery/thrillers: Tana French's books were a great, satisfying read, and now I'm into Frank Tallis' novels set in turn-of-the-century (last century!) Vienna.

I'm looking forward to trying one or two of the group reads to expand my horizons. I've set a goal to read 30 books this year and, although I have a lot of to-be-reads on my list, I'm going to need a little help!
